There has to be more or it's as simple as Marjon/Delon being cut right? We don't have the spot for him?

Ahh missed that. What a bum ass signing he was. Unfortunate.

I don't have high hopes post trade unless something else big happens tomorrow. Although the hopes aren't any less than if no move was made. Thank you Khris for 10+ years and the great finals run. He's like Michael Redd 2.0 now with the all of the injuries. Maybe Kuzma and Sims can make a difference. The Bucks still have star power but the supporting cast just feels like puzzle pieces that don't fit together.

Wiz will wave the medical as they really wanted AJJo and really wanted off Kuz.

Honestly Sims is about the perfect cheap get for our roster. Can change ends, cause problems on the offensive glass, and generally jump high as ****. The black Plumlee brother, let's go.

Pending what they do tomorrow, I’d move Green into the starting SG role and put Ajax on the bench as the energy defender along Trent. Try to focus on having Ajax out there for the Dame/Brook minutes when Giannis is on the bench. That’s when they need his energy most and when his lack of shooting hurts them the least.

Green's deserved to start since day 1. He is lowkey extremely important to this team.

Bingo. The team looks so much better with him out there because he has legit shot gravity (the scouting report is out that you CAN’T leave him open), he stays in front of his man, and he is really improving off ball.
He’s even started attacking closeouts for midrangers and shots at the rim. He had that play the other night where he attacked the closeout, did a shot fake, caught his man in the air to foul bait, and then almost made the shot for the And 1. If he figures out how to foul bait, watch out.
He just keeps making improvements.

I think Sims will do more for you than Wright will do for the Knicks. Maybe he'll take minutes from Landry Shamet but Shamet only played garbage time anyway. Maybe Thibs will like him enough of defense, but my guess is Sims will play 10 maybe 15 minutes a game for your team and Wright will be garbage minutes only for us. Sims is limited offensively. Not very useful anywhere but 3 feet from the basket, but he's not bad on defense and he's young enough to show some improvement.
I suspect New York will explore using Wright as trade filler this summer, like they did with Charlie Brown, DaQuan Jeffries & Duane Washington to make the Kat trade work under the CBA rules. Sims, as a free agent would have probably gotten some offers next year. Wright might not, so he's a tradable commodity. At least, that's what it looks like to me. I don't see any other value to wright other than a trade chip this summer, but maybe NY thinks they can use him. I guess we'll see.
I'm not sure what to think about Lessort & Besson. Don't know why they were included, if NY wanted Besson or Milwaukee wanted Lessort or some of both.

Wright is a free agent, so you won't be able to use him as a trade chip. Thibs must just want some depth.
But Wright is done. If he had anything left, even defensively, we would have kept him. If you're relying on Delon Wright to do anything for you guys, you're going to be disappointed.

If he’s not used in a deal tomorrow, I’d assume Marjon gets cut and Rollins gets signed to the big club. Rollins is in the rotation and keeps showing flashes of promise. Marjon is gone after this season anyways.

I think Wright was ok defensively. Big issue was that we needed him to handle the ball with the 2nd unit and he couldn't control it under any sort of pressure. As a defensive change-up I think he could work.
He got leapfrogged here by every guard we have, so moving him for a big was the most obvious call there was. I don't think he's useless. Just useless for us.

I thought the Knicks used a loophole with their free agents that they could re-sign to one year deals for prior year salary plus up to a 25% raise to creatively get enough salary to match in the Towns deal.
The trick is it needs to be a free agent no one would even want to offer a min deal to, so they’ll let you use them as a small sign and trade slot in a larger deal because it gets them a contract they wouldn’t otherwise get.
That’s basically the case with Delon. No one will sign him after this season but maybe the Knicks do another trade and need salary filler and Delon gets one more contract out of it.
Sims would definitely have teams willing to take a chance on him because of his size and athleticism and age.

I mean, if you're only okay defensively but you cannot run point or shoot at all, you're not an NBA caliber player anymore. Your defense has to be quite good to justify you being a non-factor on the offensive end.
If he can rediscover his shot and at least shoot at a league-average rate, then he could be a useful depth player for Thibs. It's not a bad gamble for the Knicks because Sims was expendable for them.
