Petition: Bring back Boucher!

Post#1 » by Duffman100 » Thu Feb 6, 2025 9:51 am

**** it. 2nd rounders be damned, I'm being sentimental.

Don't trade Boucher. Resign him to a cheap deal, let him retire a Raptor. Let him be the first career Raptor end to end (we'll ignore that 1 GS game).

He can play the back up 4 next year and create his chaos.

Who's with me!

It depends on the price I guess. Is he willing to accept the vet min?

Not me.

Boucher has only consistently played well in contract years.

…unless he’s signed to vet minimum indefinitely

He'll get poached if any other FO follows us

He's a no brainer when filling out the bench

If we want to compete next year, we’re gonna need him. he’s our only serviceable big off the bench. I hope he keeps the same intensity tho

What could we realistically pay him to keep him?

i could see him playing out the year

hes our only veteran front court shooter left.

Hes probably more useful as an expiring veteran energy shooter off the bench vs trading him for a 45th pick.

Hell no. He's been here long enough while contributing very little.

But we don't want him playing the rest of the year since we are still tanking this year

We are unlikely to trade Boucher, but we are over the tax, unless he is here for vet min.
I suppose we will trade one of our starters, but the return being expiring would be a bit hard.

Could be the same for Mitchell.

Boucher is a false hope merchant I'm afraid. He seems like he could be a depth piece but he manages to prove himself to not be that over and over.

Nah, not for me.

Boucher the person seems like a great guy.

But as a player I still find him far too inconsistent. He's 32 year's old. If he's going to be one of the veterans on the team, you want him to be someone you can count on, not someone that you have no idea what you're going to get from game to game (or hell, even from play to play).

Tanking and learning to win.

We’re not developing embiid over here.

There is no space for Boucher on this team anymore, we dont want to go in the tax for keeping Boucher. Trade him for some seconds.
