Yep, I see all of the guys saying they are out are still here posting..... Embarrassing

None of these posters or "fans" are out. They enjoy being miserable and bitching too much.

Hey fellas…did you know you can make an adult decision to take a break from something, and then return to it later?

Mind-blowing.

I'm only moving the 2031 1st for a guy that has at least three years left (well, 2.5) under contract and will be in his prime for all of those years. Has to be someone that will help us all of the remaining Giannis years.

Excuse me but I made this turnaround in ~1.5 hours yesterday, not a week.

Questioning the fandom of the posters on this board because they're passionate and upset about the Bucks direction is a little odd.

You're not even a little upset about what's been happening to the Bucks the past couple years+?

I'm fully expecting the 2031 1st to be dealt for something marginal today - that thing has to be burning a hole in Horst's pocket.

If the Kuzma move is any indication it would seem Horst is on the same page

Mediocrity is in and anyone who is upset about it needs to shut up and get on board!

Just did a brief comparison of Hunter and Johnson. Johnson seems like the clear winner. But hes not being talked about at all while Hunter is now popping up. Are the Nets just asking for too much?

Cam Johnson could go a long way towards filling the Khris Middleton sized hole in my heart.

Lessort is a 29 year old playing in Europe who has shown zero interest in coming overseas. Weird for those two guys to be involved at all in the trade but who knows why they did it behind the scenes.

As for MKE as contenders, we're not really there yet, but there is always a chance with Giannis and Dame that we could get hot. The Heat looked like trash 2 years ago in the regular season as a play-in team, almost lost the play-in, then got red hot. With G&D there is no reason that can't happen, although unlikely.

Half the time its just about who is playing the best basketball in May/June and we've shown flashes at times.

Lessort has shown interest in the NBA. He broke his leg (badly, disgustingly) a couple months ago but is expected to make a full recovery.

**** DOG though. Dude hopped off the floor with a compound fracture. Just bizarrely tough.

I'm really struggling to see a deal out there that makes jettisoning the 2031 1st actually worth it. All the big names have dried up, and 29-year old Cam Johnson ain't it.

BigO wrote:This trade was a pure get under the second apron move and not a move to win a championship.

If we could have gotten last year's playoff Middleton, we had as good of a chance as anyone to win a champioship. Now we have none.

Except for two games, Middleton looked good-good enough to be a third wheel with his passing and IQ.

Kyle Kuzma has neither the shooting skills, passing skills and IQ even at his peak, let alone his putrid play this season.

And to think that no team would even touch PC to help us get under the apron.

That's why you don't hand out player options to bench players like PC. Horst has to led the league in handing out player options to mid level players.

I'd totally be on board with including the '31 1st and potentially 2nd for either Cam or Deandre, though I'd prefer Cam. It's now or never with this team. Examples:

MKE out: Bobby, Pat, Marjon, Livingston, '31 1st and 2nd
MKE in: Cam Johnson

MKE out: Bobby, Pat, Marjon, '31 1st
MKE in: Deandre Hunter

Dame/Rollins
Green/Trent/AJax
Cam or Deandre/Prince
Giannis/Kuz
Brook/Giannis

If you want out from a franchise that has spent hundreds of millions trying (unsuccessfully, except once, which is huge) to win championships you can go be a fan of the Hornets or Wizards.

As someone that has spent my hard-earned money attending Wizards games, I cannot in good faith recommend it to anyone. Watching Jordan Poole go on a heater and then wave at the crowd trying to pump them up when the other team called a timeout and getting legitimate silence in return from the fans is a sporting memory I may never forget. I've never witnessed a more unserious sporting environment outside of preseason football games, and I mean at any level. High school tennis matches were more raucous environments.

It honestly endeared me to Poole; he is at least attempting to entertain folks here (and he's also legitimately had a pretty good season so far).

slos wrote:We have been talking about Giannis at C for years. It's now or never for a ton of reasons.

1) Bucks just traded for Kuzma who can play at SF but has size and is better suited at PF
2) Bucks are willing more than ever to become faster and more athletic after trading Midds for Kuz
3) Bucks have none championship nostalgia to keep Brook after parting ways with Bud, Jrue, Midds
4) Giannis just entered his 30s and needs to stop running through people to extend his career
5) Lopez just turned 36, is no longer a DPOY candidate and just kills the possibility to run teams
6) What's to lose?

Cam Johnson seems the perfect target IMO. Similar timeline, contract, pace and size with Kuzma, both have already served as viable 3A/3B options in contenders. You need two big forwards next to Giannis at C to help him with rebounding and not sacrifising his body too much. With Cam/Kuz/Bobby you can have two of those at all times. Johnson provides even more spacing as a 40% career 3p shooter. I expect Kuzma going back to his LA 36% 3p shooting now that he won't be just chucking like he did in DC.

And you also have the piece to make it work. With Sacramento done trading I don't believe the Nets can find a better return than a MIL 2031 FRP. Utah has alreasy set a market of three mid-low firsts for that and Brooklyn would be OK with two of these for Cam. I would even get greedy and ask for the other Cam too for that pick.

Lillard/Thomas
Green/Trent
Johnson/Jackson
Kuzma/Prince
Giannis/Portis

Make it happen Horst!

Giannis doesn't want to be a full time center. Just like AD doesn't want to be a full time center. Too much wear and tear banging down low.

Cam Johnson is like the exact demarcation line for me when it comes to spending that 1st. A player of similar age or younger that's better than him, of course I would. Worse than him at a similar age or older, absolutely not. Cam himself is a very close call but I would probably do it.
