Really nice trade for us. Anybody know what picks we have left going forward?

Wish we could trade Eric Gordon for some size, that way the only miniature guard I have to suffer through is Kyle Lowry.

I'm ok with that trade. OKC will be loaded and a top 1-2 seed in the West. Portland is lost at sea, GSW is one Jimmy Butler meltdown or Steph injury from being a top 5 pick.

I am normally a "don't trade picks and drop back" guy, but this one makes sense b/c it's 4 realistic shots of early 2nd rnd picks which are valuable.

I even heard our announcers talking about Jarred Butler like "wish we had" him.

Going younger and hopefully using 2 of those 4 2nds to dump Drummond & Gordon. Right now its feels incomplete but could become a big win.

Perfectly acceptable trade deadline so far. Let’s keep collecting young two-way NBA players.

We traded 3 regular contract players and only got Grimes back. Butler is on a two way contract. That leaves us with 3 open roster spots. 2 if you expect Edwards to be converted to a regular contract.

Follow up WSH trade? Gordon and a 2nd for Reddish would be kinda nice.

I have next to no knowledge of who Jared Butler is, but younger with a chance is something Reggie was not and the pick exchange is good quality, not great, but solid. Gordon and Drummond going out the door next would be lovely, PG heading out the door would freaking thrill me. PG is not washed as a player, but like Tobias was, he is washed in the context of that contract.

Woah. I was really intrigued with Butler. Giving up a 1st (even a bad one) for him seems crazy... But that only makes me more intrigued by him. I trust Morey's eye for young talent. If he can get him and Edwards locked up on RC3 contracts, and find a buyout guy, I'm cool.

I hate trading first round picks, but that pick is going to be pick 29 or 30. I don’t know who Jared Butler is, but a real player is better than that pick.

Morey needs to take chances on guys like Grimes and Butler, who they identified and can start developing immediately.

If they trade the Clippers unprotected or one of our own first rounders, my expectations would be a lot different.

They’ve previously identified Melton and McDaniels, who were derailed by injuries and our coaches not preferring them, but good young players to take a chance on.

Not star potential, but we are getting younger, healthier, and more athletic.
