Looking at the standings again. It looks increasingly obvious that Miami will only be able to "tank" its way to the 10th slot in this draft.

They could still jump into the top 4, which has become easier under the new lotto process.

You need a PG?

Fears
Traore
Larrea
Philon
Fland

You need a big?

Newell
Queen
Sorber
Wolf
Fleming

Big fan of Carter Bryant's upside

Getting more minutes as season progresses. Up to 38% from 3 on 2.5 attempts per game in only 17 mpg (good rate of attempts). Great size and athleticism for a wing prospect with huge defensive upside. The rate at which he blocks shots and gets steals is very rare. Esp for a Freshman that is hitting 38% from 3.

We need to hope GSW totally implodes and miss the playoffs - very possible if Curry/Jimmy miss some time IMO.

That could net us their pick in the 11-13 range - could be a sweet prospect there in this strong draft.

Best available PG in this draft. That's the strategy

If they turn into dog chit then they could be forwardimg us the number one overall pick in 2027. Work hard on sucking Butler!

The pick is top 10 protected so they'll keep it if they jump in the lottery. 11-15 would be perfect for us. Nolan Traore and Jeremiah Fears are two guys to keep an eye on in this range if we're serious about getting a young PG finally.

I meant to say unprotected in 27..............

I worry that we didnt get a better deal on the protection, as Id like the pick to convey this year, and Id hate to see GSW keep pick number 10, when a player is there we could absolutely use.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I feel pretty good about the pick conveying this year though. Looking at the standings, there's about 7 teams that are locked into the top 10 already, and then you have teams like the Hawks and Bulls about to free fall after trading important pieces in the last week. I'm guessing Jimmy will be playing very motivated, at least this first year, to repair his image a bit and show that he is worth the contract Riley didn't want to commit to. I think they're bound for the play in.

I feel like they will be playin level. I dont think they got better, so the draft slot could stay 15ish.

I actually would rather they make the playoffs as the 15th pick. If they got slotted bewteen 11 and 14, Id bet theyd jump in to the top 4. Thats the way it works.

Going to study every mid teens projected PG and find us a winner. Don’t bother me with any other position if it’s not a PG. Will be scouting college games now thoroughly for the projected prospects.

Who's the pre-injury Shaun Livingston's comp? I think Davion is gonna stick around here but I'd love to have some one that is 6'5''+ that we roll out on the 4 wing heavy teams. That guy maybe it Pelle in a couple of seasons if he can improve his dribble package.

Not seeing a ton to get excited about on that front right now tbh.

Best player may have to come first. As it usually should.
