Why would the Hornets do it? They have young talent and no toxic contracts. You can pick up a vet center for pennies on the dollar in the off season.

Is there any chance the Warriors secretly want to get off the Draymond contract? It'd be a lot easier to make salaries work with the Bulls in that event. I assume the Bulls would buy him out or route him to a 3rd team.

We'll know more after the deadline is over, but I don't think AK looks at this as a rebuild. My guess is he thinks the team will still be competitive.

How many losing seasons does he need before he realizes it's time to move in a new direction? Right now the team is on a 35 win pace. Last year they won 39. The year before that 40.

I agree. The fact that of all the packages available out there, he took the one with getting our own pick back from SAS strongly suggests he doesn't plan on being at the bottom of the NBA next season or the season after. Our pick only has value if we assume we'll be in the play-in or playoffs in the next 2 seasons.

He's resigned Lonzo. Coby is here. Ayo is here. Vuc is here. Donovan is here. He's not tanking.
I mean if it weren't for the NTC, Bradley Beal would be wearing a Bulls uniform right now.

Yeah they do.

Looney 8M
Hield 8M
GP3 9M

And Richardson too.

Wasn't Richardson rerouted to the Pistons?

After the trade the Warriors only have 10 players on their roster by the looks of it. They can't decimate that even further.

Maybe t. Craig will find a home there, he's a good fit.

Craig is very good vet for playoffs for either GSW, Suns or Lakers

Fwiw.

We've traded away lavine and derozan, waived Duarte and Craig, vuc is readily available, we've acquired Jones, Huerter and Collins and salary relief

We got our 2025 draft pick back and have maneuvering room with all of our future firsts and our long term 2026 salary situation indicates a crap ton of room, comparable to Philly this past offseason.

nobody is off the table beforen the end of day so we're not closed for business now or pre-draft

I think we've already CLEARLY seen stage 1 of a new direction, if that's not enough to qualify I don't know what is.

Man, I could see Dray and Jimmy yelling at Vuc a whole lot… then yelling at each other…

Please make the trade happen. Popcorn!

Why do you consider their trade stupid? They got a young, cheap and good defender for a good rookie and some picks.

Because they vastly overpaid for Williams.

Then there’s the other side of venturing into the rebuild and the pain that comes along with it. It erroneously was reported years ago that coach Billy Donovan mutually split with the Thunder because he didn’t want to be part of a rebuild. In fact, it was more about having some say and communication with the front office in that rebuild.

With the Bulls headed in that direction, Donovan is all-in.

I've never seen that reported before. If AK gets fired I wouldn't be surprised if Donovan takes over.

He said it in pre game. He wants the challenge of the rebuild.
That's even worse, I could stomach Vuc, but BD is just horrible.

Williams will justify their investiment.

I actually want Vooch to actually be on a playoff team. He only has maybe 3 years left. Dont he want to be on some contending team? But really I want Vooch gone to just completely turn the page. I dont care if its for 2 seconds.

We are paying all this forward.

He has played in 85 games in 3 seasons. Already missed 25 games this year.

AK failed because he began to restructure the team way too late. At this point in time however, there wasn't much of a market for Zach anymore.
As for Vuc: we now have tons of contracts running out next season, my guess is that trading Vuc by draft day or next trade deadline pairde with ending contracts could net a better return of value.
I'd like to see Vuc getting traded either - but not now for garbage and 2nd rd picks.

As for the tank: I agree, we'll remain on track for a ~34 win season (= pick around #7)
Problem is that losing just Zach costs no wins.

I might have to reconsider my view on them if they got Vuc to care.
