To be fair....the three 2RP's were for something else. A stupid, stupid move, if you ask me.

Agree. I think they are hoping to remain competitive.....and to be honest, the league is so sh***y this year, that they will certainly make the playoffs (injuries aside). But Williams is so young, Lebron the opposite....our defense will be an issue, especially against good teams. I think the decision to get Williams keeps us in the discussion, but really it's about the next decade. If he can remain somewhat healthy....this was a huge get.

Luka has a very high USG% of 35% so a lot will depend on Lebron's ability to adapt and JJ's creativity where James hopefully can save a lot of energy of having to carry the team's offense and convert it to better defensive effort and focus same with Reaves.
The Lakers also have 2 very versatile defenders in Vando and DFS still in the team.
Lakers lose a lazy defender like DLo and still has a pretty decent guard in Vincent so hopefully that helps their defense.

This will be the first hill to climb. How do Lebron and Luka work together. Obviously they will get points....but will it be efficient? Byt that I mean is it "effortless" and good looks? Can they collapse defenses, and draw help...creating good looks for other players....getting them involved?

Or will it be awkward....with each guy getting "their turn"? .....this sorta forced, mish-mash of an offense that takes shots they didn't need to take (granted, they will still make most of them).

I don't know what it's gonna look like honestly. I'd think it would take a few weeks to hash out. But if there's anyone who can quickly sort out playing with just about anybody, It's Lebron.

It's just nice to be curious, excited, and involved in the Lakers again! We'll see whats up in a few short days, and go from there.

im hoping we get josh richardson from the buyout market. He is waived already and played with both Luka, Dorian, and JJ back when he was playing in Dallas.

Read on Twitter

Well the Williams/Knecht is off... Williams is so often hurt that I kinda expected something like this. I guess better now than in the first game (like AD). He was overpaid for to be a stopgap, and he can't be that in street clothes.

I'm glad for Knecht.
Also Mo Bamba is available.

I read that the LAKERS asked Luka about future trades...in this context, how realistic would it be for them to trade for Zubac this summer?? I ask this because...in one place I think he fits perfectly with Luka on the court and they are good friends (something important to keep in mind to ensure Luka's extension is having guys he trusts...he just got stabbed in the back by the Mavs) and I suppose I would be at the top of his preferences...
He was traded by the LAKERS, is there any resentment? Do you see any opportunity?

I would guess Zubac would be happy to be back on the team, especially with Luka. His contract is actually pretty spicy, though at nearly 20mil/season
