Compared to what?

I think they forgot that it's Cleveland's offensive identity that is winning them games.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

How did the Hawks lose all these first round picks in including this year?

People talking about Hunter being a prime Jordan type, he has never made an all star game.

Some massive overreactions here

Cleveland has the best record in the league with below average SFs. Add an average to above average SF and it’s gonna make a difference.

Kenny will probably need to mess with some lineups once Wade and Okoro are healthy....might lose us some games.

But what an amazing trade, and we will be able to run it back next year too.

We need an energetic rebounder to spell Mobley/Allen. With everyone else being able to shoot, just need a backup big to take minutes in the regular season.

The Cavs won the East with this move. I don't know if they'll win it all, but they're going to The Finals.

Talking more in terms of Atlanta being hosed and their F/O not knowing what they are doing tbh

Major props to Cleveland Management. Do they really need him? No. Can they use him, hell yeah. Cavs are really literally building the most balanced and greatest collection of very good players without having a top 10 superstar on the team. (no Mitchell isn't a top 10 player, close but no) Reminds me of the Pistons, but with more offensive potential.

Hunter was finally playing well for Hawks, and they just gave him away? In a year when they don't their own pick? What are the Hawks doing? Makes no sense.

Cavs have the best offensive rating in the league. They are 6th in defensive rating with both Wade and Okoro being very good defenders to cover off Garland and Mitchell. Where does Hunter fit in?

They needed a 3 & D player. Hunter is not that guy….

I mean, he's hitting 39.3% from deep on 6.7 threes per game. Seems to be a good start lol

Levert was shooting 40.5% from deep while being a much better defender.

Hunter is the sexier name, but really don’t see him being a better fit

I may have said this in another thread but the Hawks are basically the Bulls-South(or the Bulls the Hawks-North). They like the Bulls don't know what they want to be and the invention of the play-in was the worst thing for both franchises because being in the East means you can be mediocre every year and always fall into the play-in. It's like both franchises goal every year is to "just not be Washington or Charlotte". Either really bottom out or set up to go get a big FA when there's a good class.

Cavs are stacked, probably best starting 5 in the NBA.

Great deal for them, really a no brainer.

Caris LeVert was the problem for Cleveland last season and now they dump their trash on Atlanta.

He was Clevelands third optionast sesson with 12.1 field goal attempts per game. The Hawks apparently like medicore shooters.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Attempts matter. Hunter is shooting 6.7 3PA at .393 while LeVert is shooting 3.9 at .405.

Also, LeVerts career 3P% is .346 and Hunter's is .368

Good move by the Cavs, they are now well set up now aim for the title. Eastern Conference playoffs will be wild with the Cavs, the Celtics, the Knicks, the Pacers etc battling it out.

Oh they know what they're doing all right. The problem is their goals are mainly to cut costs. Being in the middle works for them financially so they'll never reach for anything beyond that.

As has been the case for 40+ years, the Hawks (cl)ownership ensures they'll never build or maintain a winning team.
