Man, did we get stuck holding the bag..

There are still a lot of people who as of tonight think Middleton a viable 3rd option. It’s delusional.

Josh Giddey looking pretty good at the moment given how this turned out.

Two pieces of info stuck out to me in the @journalsentinel piece from @JimOwczarski

Khris’s injury, slow return caused some friction with teammates & Doc Rivers

Not to besmirch a Bucks legend

His body simply gave out and we ran out of time to keep waiting and hoping

Most of this board already has their mind made up on kuzma there are no stats that would satisfy the he sucks crowd.Dude could do 22/8/7 be in low 60s in TS% n this board would still rip him a new one for every bad game he had.Like they do dame.

All you midd lovers any of you read the story in the sentinel by bucks beat writer bob wont even try to spell his last nane. Some interesting things in there about midds injuries n some falling out with the coach n team management n even a dew players on his injuries.

Those would be a career high efficiency. Honestly he should be close to those numbers minus 3 assists next to Dame and Giannis. The problem is it would take the best shooting numbers in his career to be the player the Bucks need while also playing the best defense of his career.

I would've settle for a John Collins over a Kuzma. That's the kind of player you trade down for..The only hope I see is him becoming a P.J. Washington type

Remember the other night when Dame couldn’t get the ball up the court and got stripped multiple times. We need a 2nd ball handler. I have no idea if Porter will be a help there, but that’s one reason why we brought him on.

He needs to perform the simple actions that Pat does more efficiently and just be an average 3pt shooter overall while hopefully being a sniper in the corners.

Until an official announcement is made, I shall believe no trade has commenced.

You may be right, but I honestly thought the Eason/Brooks/Whitmore stuff was for Lillard, not Middleton. I definitely remember Jabari Smith, Kuminga, and Keegan Murray being mentioned as potential targets.

I don't believe this at all.. I think km ignored plays and just called for the ball and did what he wanted.. kuzma is nothing like that. Km didn't do anything at all on D. .. that's coach and lockerroom killer stuff... if kuzma even can bend his knees we are way better now

KM was the one that executed the plays, hence all the assists while limiting his turnovers. Kuzma will be really slow on D at SF, but not a huge factor because teams will always attack Dame 1st anyway.

We're back to being a really poor passing team. It's mind boggling they surround Giannis with poor passers year after year

Funny thing is even though you saw it most of the year, you're still going to be shocked at how much we dont need KM, dont need KM handing the ball, and how much it's been hindering Dame that he even existed

Dame wasn't a negative when he shared the floor with Middleton, but was the rest of the time. Dame desperately needed Mids to win.

KPJ has handles, he can also drive to the rim

KPJ will surprise some of you with his ability, he is talented with the ball in his hands in a way that someone like Rollins is not really close to. The question is will he improve his efficiency coming to our situation? You have to hope

I’m late to the posting party so please bear with me:

(I’m also not going to comment on the Khris/Kuz trade as it’s been talked about in great detail. In short, I don’t like the trade.)

-I think Sims will actually get a shot here. It will be genuinely interesting to see the team use a non-shooting big. We haven’t had one on the roster since Bud came into the picture. I’m not saying that’s good or bad either. Shooting is obviously important. I just think that a super athletic rim-runner could help us in spots.

-(Needless to say, KPJ is an awful person and it will be very difficult to root for him) He’s a bigger and stronger Cam Payne who can’t shoot the three. After watching some tape, he’s a fine shot creator. He won’t get too many opportunities to create his own shot here but it will be nice to have someone who can dribble besides Dame. I could easily see him be the occasional spark plug off the bench that can help us in the non-Dame/Giannis minutes.

Both Sims and KPJ (and Kuzma) are hypothetical players. They are both gambles to a degree. Hopefully we can hit on them, but I’m not too confident.

Can Kuzma really even create? That's another thing I thought we needed to get back if we were trading Khris, but Kuzma's always been a trash ISO scorer (17th and 39th percentile the last two seasons) and his playmaking isn't much better (19th and 38th percentile in P&R efficiency) even if he puts up decent assist numbers. He's also a bad catch and shoot guy (28% and 35% on threes). Like, he's been a pretty bad player for the past 2-3 years now if you look past the box score.

This deadline has shown me that the end is near. The last straw will be a trade of Dame before the start of next season. To be honest, it probably should be a trade of Giannis too. Unfortunately Khris, Dame, Brook and probably Bobby have depreciated too much to get players that will push us back into contention.

It's really hard to win an NBA championship.

And the overall box score/slash line won't sway my view of his performance. Like, is he only putting up 13/7/2 on sub-average efficiency, but is busting his ass on defense and locking up the opposing team's best player at times? Yeah, I'd consider that a success because he's an important cog in winning a championship.

This team is cooked. They should seriously sell Giannis while they can still get a Kareem level return that keeps them stocked for a tier 2 run for a while.

instead of trading Giannis, let’s not trade Giannis, and then I can fully care about the team now while he’s here, and then completely stop caring afterwards and uh… get a lot of my life back

The Cavs are 41-10 with a +10 net rating and just added a 19 a game on 62% TS 6'8" wing, and we're in here discussing Jericho **** Sims and KPJ lol. I am in absolute shambles

The trade for lillard was borderline the last straw.
