MPJ is a pretty solid secondary rim protector. I wouldn't call him a good defender, but he does do a few things well. His size and mobility allows him to be okay at guarding 3 positions. He gives you some vertical defense for sure. He's not super active or disruptive, nor is he lockdown.

Houston beat Cleveland and Boston and now can't win a game

Podz is a generational flopper but he took an elbow to the chin for that one. I don't think his reputation helped him there.

FVV is so important to their offense just as a possession organizer. Houston is young and athletic, but they play a bit random without Fred. Stats back it up too. Their offense is a 5 points worse with him off the floor.

I might like them better than Sacramento and Phoenix. Spurs coming up too though. The bottom 2 spots for the play-in is going to be very competitive.
