Feel like Tatum peaked either with that Ime season or when he averaged 30 the following year. His passing has improved for sure since but I don’t think anything else. Don’t really care too much about getting more uncontested rebounds per game. The explosive games aren’t there anymore from JT like we were used to seeing.

This has more to do with having more offensive talent on the roster specifically KP. He’s far too content letting others get theirs.

Let’s see if he has better shot selection in the postseason but his efficiency’s been in the crapper for a while now. I can live without his dribble dance pullup 3s even if it “keeps the defense honest”. All it does is bail out the defense.

You can add Tatum, Al and Joe to that list.

I remember games like this and wonder WTF goes through his head sometimes.

That game is against one of the teams that troubled us most over the last few years defensively and he got to his spots with ease.

It’s like he forgets how big and strong he is.

Like why am I watching him unable to bully Kyrie on switches?

He looks gassed. He’s been playing non stop since the 2021 Olympics. That’s why we need to manage his minutes until the playoffs

He has had maybe 1 great game in about 3 weeks. He has been about the 4th or 5th best player on the floor of most nights and he has that 1 great game and some posters talk about people doubting Tatum.

I've never thought of Tatum as a superstar. He isn't. NBA tries to hype him up as one. Superstars to be are also leaders and can take over games almost every night, not once every few weeks. Tatum was our 4th best player in the playoffs last year. I'm happy with Tatum on the team as one of our top 3 players. Tonight, he was probably our 5th best player behind Brown, Pritchard, KP and White.

Team prefers sitting him against weaker competition but he refuses to sit. That’s on him. If he elects to play, can’t play half-assed.

Who else thought that the KP and Al lineup was awful. Soon as I saw Al starting, I'm like this is going to be a loss.
When will Joe realize KP/AL or KP/Luke doesn't work that well. Or Al/Luke.

Al is not the same player as last year. Not even close. And as much as I like Luke and appreciate that he has shown improvement, he shouldn't be in the top 9 if we want to win another title.

Tatum and Brown just don't get up for these games at all. I wouldn't mind sitting them both in some of these games.

We lost this game because Jrue, Tatum, Al and Kornet all took the night off.

Holiday has been mia all season. Im sure he’s hurt but he’s not giving us anything. Brad rolled the dice on bringing everyone back and it backfired

This would never have happened, but if we had Springer still and he started instead of Al, this would have been a win. The starters play with no energy or effort on most nights over the past 2 months. Springer brought energy and intensity and that's why we beat the Clippers recently. You need a few guys like that on a team. Especially when the starters are holding back and saving themselves for the playoffs.

Brad needs to help this team out right now. He gave away that guy. The starters don't want to play. They should have been bench in the game vs in Lakers, Sixers and this game. Not in the 4th quarter, but right after half time.

Torrey Craig isn't enough Brad. Get Lonnie Walker or someone like him that can play hard and has talent.

lol this is ridiculous. Tatum was clearly the best player in the playoffs

KP + Al => +6.4 net rating (80th percentile)
LK + Al => +16.4 net rating (98th percentile)

If that's the definition of double big not working, sign me up for more. Obviously doesn't work EVERY TIME, but people just be saying things.

Joe literally coached to lose. Someone already said this. PP and Hauser should not be on the court together. They both suck when they can't connect on 3s, yet Joe insists that they play together after Dallas increased the lead to 17 in the first half and then to 24 in the 2nd half.
The Mavs role players have no weakness. Every single one of them are top tier and they are 3x better than our role players. They won the game against our starters and bench LMAO.
I have no confidence in Sam or PP in the playoffs, at all.
This was a total complete embarrasment.

Double bigs have been awesome in the winning streak. It was just a terrible defensive by the starters

Just so gross. Beat an excellent Cavs team just to come home and play like THAT? This team is, dare I say it, simply unlikable. Reminds me of the team a few years ago.

Not particularly upset. Comeback vs. Philly, big win vs. Cleveland and an imminent showdown with the Knicks. This was always the game they were going to punt.
