Avdija starting hot

Ayton playing recently like he gives a damn, the problem is he can never sustain it for very long

I think SAC might be better with Lavine

Sharpe with a 3, let’s see what his percentage ends up as at the end of the night

Nice up and under by Sharpe

Valanciunas is playing tonight, that was a decent acquisition by SAC

Sharpe just settles for way too many 3’s, he needs to get downhill more and stop relying on lazy shots behind the arc

Lavine just snuffed Simons there

Clingan with a good block against Lavine, Sharpe scores on a fast break on the other end

Monk with the perimeter block on Simons, and then gets fouled on the other end by DC

I think Monk could make SAC forget all about Fox, almost feels like he’s unleashed without Fox being on the team

Scoot’s 3pt shooting remans hot

Keegan Murray on fire (5-9) tonight, last time I saw him he looked awful

Camara just keeps so many possessions alive, I think he’s getting away with over aggressive play, and sooner or later it will catch up to him against the better teams, but he is directly responsible for a lot of POR second chance possessions

This Lavine/Monk backcourt for SAC, seems a lot more dynamic than what they had previously, which I think was Fox\Ellis?

I think a genuine concern is that a lot of of these drives that Deni does in the regular season, where he initiates contact, will get called for offensive fouls in the postseason, if POR can ever get there

Wow! That was a heck of a move by Lavine

SAC should have challenged that call that was a ridiculous offensive call on Sabonis, clearly Camara was acting there

Wow, great pass by Monk to Ellis there on the fast break

Valanciunas reminds me of Sabonis in the low post, he obviously doesn’t have the outside shooting or passing skills of Arvydas, but when he is in the post, he reminds me of the big guy

Of all the players making over 30 million a year in the NBA, Grant has got to be one of the worst

Great connective pass out of the post by DC to Simons who hits a 3

Camara with 2 quick fouls, his defense is good, but his over aggressiveness is going to get him in trouble as he progresses

Oh I see Grant decided to show up for this game, just a few weeks before his end of season sabbatical

Simons 3pt shooting is so hot right now, it’s easy to forget how awful it was at the beginning of season, so he’s just returning back to the mean

well, we’ll see what happens when they go on the road

10 outta 11... It'll probably end some time, right? Hopefully Deni is OK.

10 wins out of the last 11, Camara is unreal this dude has such high potential to be an incredible player. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players and might end up one of my all-time favorites by the time his career is nearing it's end.

He definitely was tonight - that was big time. It's good to see him playing better - tonight was a star-level performance from Ant.

I feel he's been put in a position to be disliked by fans due to the 2-timeline thing, but by all accounts he's been a consummate professional and is a likable guy.

I'll always be super grateful to Ant if only for that epic Game 82 performance against Sacramento when he was a rookie in 2019 which secured the 3 seed despite Portland throwing in the towel by sitting most of its starters. That 3 seed opened up the path to the WCF which was the most fun season since at least 2000.

Im not sure what clicked here, but the team is playing some amazingly crisp and largely clean basketball right now. The ball sharing is off the charts and day and night from the iso-heavy ball of the Dame area. Lobs, attacking the rim and always making that extra pass... it's pretty impressive.

If this team somehow makes the play-in or comes close to it, it's going to make the summer pretty interesting...

For one, I don't see how the team can not reward Billups with a new contract offer of some sort. While the relationship was strained coming into this year, there are only so many HC jobs in the league, so I would think if they offered him another contract he wouldn't say no, unless he's just done with coaching altogether.

It will also mean for some tough roster decisions. These are inevitable, but if the team ends on a high with everyone playing well, they can still go either way... I just hope they pick one this summer.

This is how I thought they’d play at the start of the year. Took them a while to find their identity but I think they have a shot at the playoffs. Shaedon should be starting over Grant tho.

I didn't. I am very surprised. This has come on the defensive end of the court - I didn't think this team could be a fundamentally good defensive team with their small guards.

Other than the OKC game (118), the team has played really good defense. Points against have been really solid. Even the Phoenix game (119) was with OT.

Throughout the season they were giving up 113.9 PPG, the last 11 games 102.1 :o

Their offensive rating is still 25th in the L, they are scoring "slightly better" in that stretch mostly on defense to offense transitions.
