Playing time is going to be at a premium all over the board with this roster. My feeling is we stand pat unless we really want Bruce Brown who is the most likely of targets. Brogdon will be great here but there will be plenty of high profile suitors. Dallas is the most likely landing spot steered by Klutch to join Anthony Davis.

Supposedly neither brown or Brogdon will be bought out. At least that’s what was reported yesterday, you never know

I see Brogden getting bought out. I can’t imagine Paul letting him finish out in Washington. I could see Brown staying due to need but we’ll see. Burks is the likeliest of players to be bought out here if he has a spot lined up someplace else and we have eyes on signing someone else with that roster spot. Maybe even a cheaper development piece like Christopher to replace him

If this happens, I think the main piece moving out is Herro. Can you win with an Ant Herro back court and paying them 100M+ per year?
What are the parts and salary matching we would be sending to Minnesota next year?

You could argue Wiggins would be a cheaper and better fit next to a dude like Ant. And we will have to pay jovic. Decisions will have to be made. If we can find a Stephon Castle type point guard with warriors pick in this draft, it'll be built for ant to step in. But herro would be the sacrificial lamb along with like JJJ, send them kyle anderson back and some picks.

But that's 12 months away

I think their goal would be to keep Bam Herro and Wiggins tbh. Seems like we’re kind of forcing guys into developing their handling and playmaking right now going with no PG, maybe we’ll be a lot more comfortable handling the ball by then.

Herro
Ant
Wiggins
Bam
Ware

Or maybe we even go back to spos favorite way of laying and we get a 3 and D PG (maybe Mitchell will develop more and can fit in here?)

Mitchell
Herro
Ant
Wiggins
Bam

I see where you’re coming from though and it may very well take Herro, if it does you do it no question about it.

Ant got 5 years left on his contract. Same with Cade. The earliest he can push for a trade with any kind of leverage is the 2027-28 season. 3 years from now. And he's going to make all nba, he will be eligible for supermax extension.I think its gonna be hard getting the young stars who are supermax eligible to leave their teams before 10 years hit. After 10 years they qualify for 35 % of the cap anyways and the difference in money isn't that massive.
Ant and Cade are pipe dreams. FO shouldn't operate with the belief that we got any chance with them. Unless Ant and Cade make their interests known through back channels.
We need a better plan for contention than waiting 3 years hoping for trade request that may never come. This is essentially what happened with Giannis and Mitchell.

Time will tell, I think he’ll want out soon and I think it all stems from the Towns trade ruining their window. Coming somewhere like Miami and winning would do more for his career and maybe even financially than staying in Minnesota.

Giannis sure, Mitchell we just weren’t willing to play ball with a respectable trade package while making Herro untouchable because he just won 6MOY (per usual). Honestly chances are we just try to lowball for Ant anyways, we always want the “whales” but don’t want to pay the price

Its from Butler's "camp", not Butler himself. I feel bad for Bernie, because Butler has a PR/Social Media campaign team that Bernie has nothing to do with. Butler is trying to be a bootleg version of Lebron and his "camp".

Supermax is the #1 obstacle for Miami's team building dreams. That's why Luka is worth monitoring even tho the chances are slim. No longer eligible for supermax is a gamechanger.

I mean we're gonna land someone at some point. It's south beach and it's a top tier organization. Gotta wait and see who becomes disgruntled enough that we can't predict.

Lol I'm confused, jimmy wasn't down to discuss the drama and wanted to move on yesterday. Unless his pr team operates on their own I don't get how he doesn't tell them to stfu now.

Butler quit on the team mid-season and then dragged management through this **** nonsense.

Knowing his history of immature behavior, he shouldve been traded long ago.

Duncan’s ETO carries 9.8 million guaranteed next year. I think it’s almost certain we offer him and gladly accepts the Buddy Hield contract. Potential to lower the cap figure by over 11 million next year giving us some much needed flexibility under the tax. With the savings we will be able to asses if we want to keep Davion Mitchell as a RFA. Duncan also becomes a more platable tradeable contract at 9 mil a year.

Why would we do that? There is no need to pay Duncan Robinson more than the league minimum because there are other players out there who can replace him for the minimum.

Do not be confused. His PR/Social Media team does the dirty work so he can say he never said that.

Plausible deniability is the act of denying responsibility for an action or statement by claiming a lack of knowledge or intent. It's often used by high-ranking officials to avoid blame for unpopular.

The speaker avoids keeping records of instructions or avoids direct communication so it's impossible to trace who was responsible.
