The 2023 finals run:

Caleb Martin should have been the ECF finals MVP. He had a better series than Jimmy.

He didn’t have name help of a star player, but he had players that were absolutely playing way above their level and were heavily contributing.

Also, he is **** on his teammates and coaches he claim to love so much by trying to take all the credit to himself for those final runs..

Show you this again. Butler Social Media Camp using burner accounts acting like Butler donating money to fans. This is the type of person the Heat was dealing with. The pattern is clear.

Oh, great. Soon we’re going to hear that Andrew Wiggins “lost his joy” and is on the verge of requesting a trade after learning that Pat Riley thought Jimmy Butler had to have been drunk to name Wiggins as his most talented former teammate.

Vertical Limit wrote:I have been loyal to Heat and Pat Riley since hes been on the Heat, and i never got involved with the disrespect some Heat fans have towards Riley. We won 3 championships and had six appearances. There are a handful of teams who have been as successful as the Heat the last 25 years and a large credit goes to Riley.

I would like for him to seriously consider retirement after this season. It’s time to hand full reigns to Spo or Alonzo, or whoever they feel can continue the culture of the Heat.

Its not just the Jimmy Butler stuff, **** Jimmy Butler. It’s just we need a new fresh vision.

This, it’s time and it’s been time. He fumbled this build. Time after time he has overvalued our own players in negotiations for stars that wanted to come in here and win with us.

Mitchell, didn’t want to send Herro so negotiations never got serious.

KD, just offered Jimmy and JRich. At least toss an asset or in there for a respectable offer.

Dame, lowball offer trying to strong arm a player who only wanted Miami which ended up backfiring. FO Stan’s will say “but Cronin wouldn’t talk to us because he was mad at Dame” no that’s not true, Pat tried to strong arm him and lowball him something serious. Barry literally reiterated this yesterday, it’s not debatable. That’s a top 10 player who filled the biggest need of this team and we completely botched it.

2022 made the finals, made no moves to improve the team that season that could’ve helped in the finals. Don’t care if the team sucked that year when you get Jimmy Bam and Spo in the playoff everyone knows the deal.

Every single season we basically has massive issues at PG and at the 4 and we never did much or anything to address them. The best roster of the Jimmy era was year 1, that should’ve been arguably the worst. Insane that this is the case.

Love Pat, thankful for all he’s done but he’s been bad at his job for awhile now. It’s time for something new, we need someone who isn’t delusional and isn’t afraid to make a move. This likely would’ve led to a championship, instead it led to the 3rd best player in franchise history leaving.

He shot 45% from 3 his junior year of college. now that's obviously quite ridiculous but his last 2 years were right at 36%. That's not terrible by any means. If he can even get to 38% on a low volume, he would become such a key piece off the bench for us.

I’ve actually prepared myself for both Wiggins and Mitchell to forget how to shoot and play basketball in general like Rozier.

Nobody is saying that they aren’t thankful for how Pat built this franchise and what he’s done over the years. For the most part we are a team that doesn’t have many scandals and has always been in the mix. Having said that, I don’t think his style works anymore. There is nothing wrong with saying that the dude is 80 years old and the time has come. I’ve always assumed that the reigns to be handed over to Spo on the basketball side. I would assume Randy Pfund and Andy Ellisburg would continue the business side while Spo makes all decisions over personnel and trades.

More talented than Derrick Rose, KAT, and Embiid :o

Actually from a pure talent standpoint, that's not that crazy. Wiggins really does have all the talent/athleticism in the world.

Haha not an elite shooter but 36% on decent volume while being an elite POA defender, providing solid rim pressure, and solid playmaking is good enough for me

I know I said screw everything else and accumulate every asset possible for Ant but we actually need to make a concerted effort to grab KD this summer. The trade request is 100% coming and we were team number 2 last time he asked out, if he still holds is in that regard he may be able to get here quietly just like he did to Phoenix. This also helps us get Ant in the future imo as KD is his favorite player all time.

I've been watching Pat for as long as most of you here. Since he got here. I was a little kid when the Road Warriors were doing their thing, and I was following all of it.

Pat has lost his piss and vinegar. He just isn't as hungry anymore, or risk taking. Something is off.

But modern Pat falls in love with guys too much, doesn't take as many risks, and he won't make a trade unless the HEAT get everything they want

Old school Pat knew it was fine paying the asking price, if you got the superstar on your team. Role players can be replaced...

I mean Barry has said himself they’re happy with what they’ve accomplished over the last 20 years or whatever (rightfully so) and don’t feel the need to really make that extra push to get over the top. That’s just wild to me, why not continue to push yourself to be one the greatest if not the greatest dynasties to exist excluding the Celtics YMCA men’s league championships of the past

Same for now, considering. I like the Wiggins pick up.

Nah i call BS here.

Lets says we take the Heat at their word here, ok. That means they would value those players right. That means they would try to resign them…. Oh . That means they would pay market value to keep those players right… oh . With the Heat it’s never what we say but what we are willing to pay, thats how we value you, then it all becomes crystal clear. Our actions basically confirm it was Jimmy dragging us, if not we would have kept those players. The simple saying money talks and BS walks applies here, dont fall for some PR spin, its not even good PR, thats the worst part. At least this mess is over.

Let’s focus on our new core of Ware, Herro and Bam and see what Spo will unlock with Wiggins.

Return to Miami Heat
