I haven’t made a big board or anything but if this was our draft haul, I’d be excited!

A bonus of today is deadline over and we still have two good picks coming up in the draft, I was worried Brad might dump at least one.

Oh he can always dump them draft night for 5 future second rounders!!

Weirdly I think these two guys could actually play double big together.

I’m coming around - a little - on Wolf as kinda a Lauri lite. I still really want my bigs to be switchable, though. JoJo was a go go for me from day one, lol. I’m a sucker for mobile wingspan. Looking at you Jordan Walsh.

I’d prefer Fleming or possibly Beringer as bigs that may last to us. Then a Miles Byrd ball handling wing type rather than doubling up on bigs Joe won’t play.

Darn HOU has been crappy lately. They were on the verge of overtaking us now have lost 5 in a row. MEM is making a surge, though. I legitimately hope they both pass us. We're super unlikely to see them in the finals, so it doesn't matter.

DEN/NYK/LAL I'm not as sure about, lol. This regular season and last few years of playoffs we're better on the road, so even if we do meet them along the way, I'm not super worried about HCA. But at the same time you also kinda hate to throw it away.

If we can get to 23-25 range on the pick, I think it gets us into the last few guys of the next tier up, imo. But, I think the team is focused on making a run out of the All Star break, so we're probably stuck in 28.

How switchable would you consider him on a scale of Edey (1) to prime Draymond Green (10)?

He's pretty switchable. Not like Draymond / prime Horford or Bam level. But certainly not a big who's limited to just drop like Kornet and KP.

He's in between somewhere. Probably roughly as switchable as like Brandon Clarke..maybe just a shade under the switchability level of Beef Stew. But Broome is actually a very good rim protector. Like pretty much as good as any big in this class in terms of rim protection. So while he's fairly switchable, you'd probably want to try and keep him close to the basket as much as you can, so his rim protection ability isn't being wasted - sort of like how we tried to keep Time Lord close to the rim for that reason and have him roam..not saying Broome is quite as good a rim protector as Rob, though..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I haven’t been that big on Wolf but I didn’t even realize he’s playing in a true double big system with a 7’1” guy.

So I like the package deal of the super mobile elite lob guy with the skill guy.

Thanks. I think my big rankings as of now (4 or higher, smallball is fine for me). It's not all switchability, but it's weighted heavily.

If not, grab a guard/wing.

31 (if grabbed a guard/wing earlier):
----
Johni Broome
Joan Beringer
JoJo Tugler

N/R: Queen, Maluach since I assume they'll be gone and have things I love / don't love but not worth investigating. I know about half the ones I listed will be gone too - just a matter of which half.

If we trade back and they're still around Wolf or Raynaud are worth a swing.

High IQ, has all the big man skills and can shoot and put the ball on the floor.

I did a small post on him months ago after re-watching his ncaa tourney game against Auburn when he had the mask on. The kid is skilled for sure.

As a 1st rd pick is he an impact player in the NBA? Will the physicality of the league slow him down?

I'll say this right now, he'll be a better NBA player than Flip.

I'll take him if he's there with the C's pick.

The NIL is gonna keep playing a big part in a bunch of players decisions. If he has a guarantee that he'll be taken in the top 15 IMO, he's gone. But if the talk is the 20's that's a big pay cut and if the NIL can give him a good chunk to come back his senior year and he can get better and be a top 15 pick than he should stay. The obvious reason to take the NBA money is the risk of injury, so it's the typical betting on yourself scenario.

I know people are high on Sorber, but I think Wolf can be a better pro. I'm not high on Khaman also.

If haven't seen him 1-19 in any mock. Most are high 2nd. Though, more lately have him mid-late 20s (to us a lot).

IMO, the later mocked international players in the 1st will get pushed back

Personally, I'd love for Boogie to drop to the C's because of his season ending injury.

I liked Flip so if he is even Equal, he would be a good pick. If he is a bit better than I am all in.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

A lot of folks on Twitter are starting to sour on Boogie and think he should return for another year of college ball, since he has a crazy low FG% at the rim (it's 36%..good is considered over 60%, under 50% is very bad), is undersized, hasn't been able to pressure the rim much either..add in the season ending injury..

You look at Ryan Kalbrenner from Creighton, a seven-footer with a 7-5 wingspan, moving up to #31 on Ersins big board, and that makes sense with big men making a comeback in NBA schemes. You look at how Zach Edey was a projected 2nd round pick at this time last year and he ends up drafted top 10, makes me think Kalbrenner has a good chance to rise. I think in the last ten drafts, the only collegiate 7-footers with a BPM > 13 who weren’t 1st round selections was Bol Bol who went 2nd round but he had fit, injury & character concerns.

Kalbrenner is coming off a 35pt game and his BMP is, at this time, 14.4 … I bet he ends up goin first round.
