I think we need to play Ware in those high pressure moments, he needs the reps in those situations.

They’ve talked good about Anderson but they can’t be too high on a guy they were forced to keep and tried to dump even post deadline for 2 hours but were unable to

Hate to say it but Jaime might be cooked. He is mediocre on both sides of the court and the team sucks when he’s on the court. Such a 180 from last year, I thought he was going to be giving us like 15 off the bench this year tbh.

That's the downside of taking 3rd/4th year college guys... they come in more ready for the league, but sometimes that's as good as they're ever going to get, starting to look to be the case with Jaime. With a guy with athleticism who lacks the footwork/moves, that can be taught. But Jaime has those, he can't really learn to get a 40 inch vert or blow past his defender. Best we can really hope for is his shot improves.

Holy **** I didn’t even realize we scored 9 4th quarter points. Can someone ask Spo why he sat our 2 best players for 5 minutes to start the most important quarter of the game? Came out up 6, came back down 6 with no momentum

It depends. The Anderson/Jovic lineup offers more playmaking and ball handling alongside Herro.

The Ware/Bam combination could be effective against bigger teams, of course.

The good thing is, Spo now has a lot of options to choose from.

Spo has really sucked this year, tbh. He’s very lucky he’s got a lot of leeway with this franchise.

That 18 points per game would be huge. Jagsmith's 6 ppg and Jaime's 9 ppg ain't gonna cut it.

We desperately need a reliable third scorer.

He's been averaging 20 ppg and 7 fta since becoming the no.2 option when everyone fit hurt, so his last 15ish games.

Not a bad game, just a bad quarter. Some of the shots they usually make didnt fall in the 4th. Surprised Heat got pounded on the glass.

Gotta play wear in the 4th, he deters so many shots. Them 2 w/ Wiggs the D gonna be fine. The problem is Offense. Besides Herro & T Ro, & Bam we dont have any playmakers.

Can't wait for the newcomers to take minutes from Jamie, Rozier and Hsmith. Don't holding much if any hope for us being significantly better. Just done watching them play.

Herro in a new stage with an AS target on his back. Bam still not looking right to me.

Playmaking ability on this team is just low. Way too many touches for Herro and Bam.

Ware
Bam
Jovic
Wigg
Herro

Is my 5 that won't play

Duncan
Off night
Slomo

Off the bench

At least remove the JJJ and Rozier minutes from the experience please.

I think JJJ will be fine. He hasn’t played a full 2 seasons yet. Even Herro had a down season. Heat don’t give up on our guys. More development & work. I see good potential.

Wiggins can score if needed. Hes still got high level springs and slices into the paint well.

Hes got almost as many 30 point games as Bam and Tyler combined (49 to 55).

Wiggins is a scorer and I think Miami will benefit from his scoring.

Warriors and Steve Kerr wanted him just to play defense and score with the flaw of the game.
The ball had to be in the hands of Green and all the players had to run a lot in order Curry or Thompson to get out of screens and shoot.

If Heat give Wiggins the green light to score and give him some screens, I think his numbers can be elevated by a lot.
Wiggins scores 17ppg in his sleep.
And Warriors had him in the sleep mode. They didnt want to break their hierarchy.

I think this trade is a big opportunity for him and he can come back to 22+ ppg

Warriors were aimless to the point Curry even questioned where they’re headed w/ that roster. Wiggins playing w/ no sense of purpose. If Spo can give point shaving Rozier the green light Wiggins will get good burn here. We rejuvenate him here like every star we acquire.

The team is sadly lacking in talent and all there good players are limited in a number of key ways, unless Herro/Robinson are drilling absurd % from 3 it's always a hard game or loss. Honestly for the level of talent the team has minus a focused Jimmy 500. is a pretty good result this far. There's just no dynamic legit triple threat player on then team.

It's alright, this is a developmental season, and the focus will be on building through the draft. Not every year is about chasing a championship. I’m really lucky to have witnessed 3 championships so far, and if the Heat manages to win another in the next 20 years, that would be the icing on the cake. The best way to enjoy sports is by embracing both the wins and the losses.

Love this. I enjoy the process - mistakes & successes. Wins & losses. No organisation is perfect. We’ve been lucky to continue to enjoy some deep runs, inspite of our roster. Im thoroughly enjoying watching the youngens develop. Really enjoy watching Bam be aggressive w/ the emergence of Ware. I love this team, our culture & how we operate. We shld all feel blessed to be fans of Heat basketball.

Why?

With Jimmy gone, and with a new outlook on the team’s timeline, isn’t the point to empathize the development of the young guys?

This team is a fringe playoff team (if they even get in) with no shot of making it out of the first round; I don’t even think they would even win 1 game against Bos or Clev.

Why not embrace the remainder of the year as an opportunity to evaluate the young prospects and figure out a plan for the future instead of fooling themselves that they can actually meaningfully compete this season?

Return to Miami Heat
