PG: OKC thunders Raps, Tank rolls on

Post#1 » by anotherhomer » Sat Feb 8, 2025 4:56 am

Ok my first PG thread

So positives:
- youngster get playing time
- Jakobe and Gradey looks not too bad
- Scottie hits 4 3s

Bad
- Thunder was toying with us
- IQ Struggled, long-time posters have a meltdown

IQ struggled, and was shutdown by a good defensive team, but him setting up SB, is a positive.
Both IQ and SB with 5 turnovers each.

Amazing Jalen Williams was a 12th overall pick

LOL no way we went hours without a post-game thread.

Everyone has mentally clocked out.

See y'all May 12th (Draft Lottery) and June 25th (Draft Night).

Facebook lowers your intelligence...

Got people blaming the loss on Barnes..saying he should be coming off the bench. * Face palm*

I dont think I've ever seen less than a page for a PG thread. The tank really killing the fandom?

Jakobe starting to get more efficient as the season progresses has me excited for his future.

Tuned out after the 3rd. Honestly nothing to watch for this year. Hope Walter gets some more pop but other than that I'm not really excited to see the team until next season.

I don't even want BI to play again this year lol

We're going to quickly realize Barnes just isn't it. He's probably the worst number 1 option in recent franchise history. For all the hate we gave Demar, Scottie is waaaaay worse on offense. He has absolutely no moves or finesse. When we play a big front court he gets completely dismantled.

His #1 option days are coming to an end with Ingram joining the team.

Team assists definitely a misleading indicator, 31 assists tonight.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I have Barrett as the better 2nd option as well. Then the third option a toss up between him and IQ, is that work 30M+ a year? The Siakam and OG moves don't make sense. We didn't want to pay either 35-40M a year, but we want to pay Barnes, Ingram, and IQ who are all worse the same amount? How does it make sense man?

During the Raps 5 game winning streak Scottie was dominating especially on the defensive end. Last few games he has slowed down. Just amazes me though how fans judge so quickly. Do you fans not see other star players going through the same thing? It’s a long season and there are many ups and downs. Fans impulsive reactions just makes me want to stop reading fans opinions. Is that how you people react in life?

It was fools gold man we played a bunch of bad teams that were trying to lose. You can't judge those 5 games and ignore the rest of the season.

20 points in 2025 isn't the same as 20 points ten or twenty years ago. You do realize that right? You know triple doubles are fairly common in the NBA now too. You're the same type of poster that loves RJ because he puts up 20 points a game on crappy percentages. Neither of those things translate to winning basketball games.
