Outgoing: 2028 second-round pick

Yep, makes us look even better in comparison...

To me the biggest winners were the Lakers and the Spurs.

For the rebuilding teams, I think Utah beat the Wizards, Pistons and Hornets (but all three are on the right track).

Oh, nobody is remotely in the same universe as the Lakers. I wouldn't even list anyone else unless you classified it as "Tanking Winner and Contending Winner" because nothing remotely comes close to what the Lakers did which was probably the biggest steal since Webber in '98, and Magic Johnson (the '79 1.01) for some 35-year-old corpse of a former all-star.

The Luca trade is just orders of magnitude greater theft than anything since at least Webber for Mitch Richmond's retirement tour.

Agreed. Close second to me is the Fox/Wembanyama combination without giving up any of their youngsters is pretty darn good as well.

Cavs did pretty well but not compared to the Lakers or Spurs (IMO).

Thanks for the link! The Ringer wasn't far off on most of their mock.

Note that a lot of the second round picks are at the very least contributing to their team.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Why on earth why were we trying to reaquire Beal? It would’ve been Kyle Kuzma all over again.

if the Suns were planning to admit defeat soon I don't think they would've dealt their 2026 1st to salary dump Nurk

Personally, if they soaked every asset the suns had in that move and say did all the trades as is we sill technically could have but would it have been worth 2 bad firsts a second and swaps some triple swapped swaps idk the answer to that but it doesn't hurt to kick the tires. If you can take him back for assets then one his contract shinks a bit in a year or two and he's still playing ok you trade him again for a couple of sandwiches and call it good work

Not that I want him back but Beal is far better than Kuzma and he’d probably fill the mentor to the young guys role quite well.

I think their wants and desires are irrelevant. They suck and they're getting older and not better. Players will ask out and as Butler's example, the billionth in a row, proved, when the players want out, it doesn't matter what the FO thinks.

And what exactly do the suns have to give up to make it worth it to us to eat that idiotic contract they stupidly took on two years ago? Have they not basically sent out everything of value the past few years? Just give the '26, '28 and '30 firsts up outright (I dont think they can do that with '28)? That's what I'd demand bare minimum. Makes zero sense.

& I still can't believe you've been spelling BroGDon's name wrong for months now! :)

I had no idea. I definitely spell it right in my head. I'm aware the g is before the d. I guess my fingers don't spell it right when I type fast.

KuzGone should have been the spelling this entire season... so there is that.

Tsze-Kung asked, "Is there one word which may serve as a rule of practice for all one's life?"

The Master said, "Is not Reciprocity such a word? What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others."

I think in total we did well considering what we had to work with. Certainly we did better than I was expecting. Just getting rid of Kuzma by itself was a win.

:) no worries! Not surprising... "dg" is a whole lot more common in English than "gd."

Apparently we got this dudes draft rights in the trade
I’m assuming he’ll never play in the NBA

But I didn’t see any reporting on it anywhere
