VJ would be so huge for us now that we have Ingram.

He should've been dropped a while ago but since he's a freshman and on Duke, they waited.
Wouldn't pay too much mind to Tankathon. Most mocks still have him in their top 8, rightfully so.
He hasn't even been able to showcase his full arsenal (i.e., his shooting ability from mid-range and behind the arc) because Jon Scheyer keeps him pinned in the paint. Similar to how Edey wasn't allowed to take threes in Purdue even though he had it in his backpocket.
Khaman can shoot. Dude's gonna be a beast.

Actually a lot of mocks have dropped him.

His numbers the last 5 games haven't been that stellar. I agree about his role limiting him but right now he isn't living up to top 8

We need a C like that with the Portland pick. Here is the short list and ages, take someone aged 21-23. For a C being 22 or 23 is good imo. All of the centers below are 7 fooyers projected in 2nd round:
Danny Wolf Michigan 21
Rocco Zikarsky Brisbane (NBL) 19
Ryan Kalkbrenner Creighton 23
Tomislav Ivisic Illinois 22
Zvonimir 22
Maxime Raynaud Stanford 22
Motiejus Krivas Arizona 20
Hansen Yang 19

How I hope they draft:
- with top pick: the best available player/scorer with the largest bag.
- with the 2nd round pick: the best available Center, preferably 21 or older.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Prospect Part 3
And next deadline move:
A combination of Quick and Dick and some picks for the third star (similar to the Ingram trade, esp. If a star PG or SG is available). Example with LaMelo, I am lazy to think of another:
Ball/Shead/1st pick(if PG)
RJ/Walter/1st pick
Ingram/Battle
Scottie/Mogbo/Boucher at vet min
Poeltl/2nd
I mean if the 1st pick could be a great PG because that is the BPA we wouldn't even need to trade for a PG.

I guess it's the low block numbers, not providing rim protection. At 7'2 with a giant wingspan, he only gets 1.3 STOCKS.
Thomas Sorber is a little robotic and is only 6'10 but he gets 3.7 STOCKS and his Blks/Foul is almost 1, while Maluach is around 0.5.

Alex Condon is 6'11 but quite agile and my favorite if he's still there with the Portland pick. Also give him the 3 year deal right away or else he'll go play Aussie Rule Football. Also maybe play NBL, while we own his rights.

VJ is starting to remind me of my favourite player of all time. The measurables aren’t there, but the relentless desire to attack the rim and take+make wild shots is.

I just hope VJ isn’t 6’2” or less
but if he’s 6’3”+ I’m taking him and moving Quick to the bench. Please just tell me his wingspan is at least 6’7” too

I would say he's a taller Oladipo. Ya, but the level of player his ceiling could be Wade if he measures out at at least 6'3 without shoes.
Reports are 6'5 and I don't doubt it as he looks more like VC than Steve Francis when flying around.
He seems like Agbaji with guard handles, passing and even more elite athleticism. Skinny Ant? If people think he could be Skinny Ant then he might even be drafted #2 behind Flagg.
Yikes, since Dec 11, VJ has been shooting 47.5% from 3, to bring up his average to 39.1%. I guess he is able to shoot the deep ball. He's shooting 77% FT which bodes at least decently that the 3pt shooting is at minimum average.
He has an A/T of 1.58 which is better than Jaku at 1.44.

His reported measurements pretty much everywhere I've seen, are 6'5" with a 6'6" wingspan.

So quick and bouncy!!! Like Jalen Green with defense.
He looks so small beside Demin. I think he measures out 6'3, so 6'4 1/2 with shoes, then rounded to 6'5 measurement.

His wingspan isn't that long but that's fine, he has the 'IT' factor. Even if he goes really he will drop a prospect down to us.

Just a reminder of Noa Essengue at age 18 playing the Blazers and dropping 20. Now imagine him learning under Brandon Ingram and his game expanding.
Bobby Webster clearly said he would travel the world to scout the best players. I am believing this Siakam prototype is on their radar.

I will take Yang undrafted. Him and Comche are two different players but they would be nice to develop together. Yang gives off the Gasol vibes plus he is a tall rim protector, good rebounder, strong passer and can play in the post. He's having a better season this year than last year.
Wolf and Ryan are also both good choices. We can get a good C on the cheap this year.

Sorber at least can make some passes, while Maluach may not have such high basketball IQ. Their wingspan may not be that far apart, so I have Sorber higher than Maluach.

Definitely not 6'5, and your source doesnt seem to be legit. I hope you are not relying on low quality sites like nbadraft.net

Bobby mentioned yesterday that they prioritize big wings that can read the game and make the right plays. The most raptor player in this draft is Egor Demin. If they don’t land in the top 3 I believe he’s our target. Assuming his background checks are good.

He JUST turned 18 in December, but he looks like Delano Banton. Looks too frail. Maybe his ceiling is Shaun Livingston without the PG level skills? Caboclo 2.0?
