This is more of a dream but I was day dreaming about us drafting Cooper.

PG whoever
SG Ingram
SF Cooper
PF Barnes
C Yak

That's probably Masais long boy ball dream as well tbh. Upgrade on other positions when the time comes.

IQ + Barrett + Picks for LaMelo ?

It's crazy how fast Masai was able to rebuild this roster.

We have two young all-stars in Scottie and Ingram. And a bunch of assets that we can package for another star player. Not to mention, we're adding another prized prospect from this upcoming draft.

This is called...having a franchise in Canada. There absolutely is a Canada tax on any of these contracts we hand out. Like BI? Want him to stay? It's gonna cost you. This is not the front office wanting to hand out a larger than a RealGM fan expects...it's called doing business where you are the only team not located in the US.

Toronto is NOT a free agent destination. We do not get the warm weather preferential treatment that Miami, LA, Phoenix, etc. get.

Heck, even the free agent destinations still gotta pay top dollar to get the players they want, they just get a larger group of players to select from.

We got an American born player who is entering his prime willing to play in Toronto... just be friggin happy lol.

That would be pretty insane and if we can get a rim protector lob catching big who can step out were laughing.

AND........this dude actually wants to go to Toronto. As I had said in another thread pre-trade...NO ONE WANTS Toronto...not now...not ever...but BI specifically requested Toronto or Atlanta. When a guy WANTS to go to Canada who isn't Canadian...you gotta reward that too.

Like I said...when's the last time an NBA player not from Canada (hell...even from Canada) requested a trade to the Raptors???????? Porzingis included Toronto on his preferred list of trade destinations a long time ago...but otherwise...no one else.

And we will have this with an up and coming Bench Mob 2.0 starting next year, just gotta find that backup C.

Bingo. That's exactly the type of big this team needs. I love Poeltl's ability to set screen (his greatest strength) but it sucks that Scottie can't throw up lobs to him because it's exactly the type of big would excel playing next to.

Luka requested for a rim protecting/lob catching big and the Lakers got him Mark Williams. Great move!

You’re drunk.

You're on crack if you think IQ and Ingram are championship level pieces.
Bro are you ok? Im worried about you...Yesterday your tune was totally different, talking about how the trade was good and Ingram fills holes on this team, Now you just flip like a coin.

I personally like AD, even though his voice can be a lil annoying.
He's quite informative and actually does a terrific job commentating the game, no BS.

Breen & Clyde will always be my favorite duo though.

Call me ungrateful but I'm not happy overpaying everyone - If that's the case, just pack up the franchise and move it to the south.

I noticed that as well.

Not to mention, we haven't even seen the two suit up or play a damn game together, so how can someone just jump to conclusions already?

Do you guys think we'll wait till the off-season to re-sign him?

Bobby kind of made it sound like they could announce it soon? Mentioned they're in the same ball park and that they're currently in talks.

he has no contract next year and you need contract to get money, he wants his money like everyone else and the more money the better...he wants to play and the second hes ready he will because if he plays well in like say 20-25 games, he will get paid more money

bro doesnt care about the tank and wants his money

An extension at max of 3 years 144 million could be signed any time before end of June. I think BI is aware that his market isn't a max contract so hopefully they can do some sort of extension and at less than the 144 million number. A 3 year term makes sense...so I'd be ok with 3 years 120 million. That's a Fred VanVleet-type contract...but maybe withoutht the team option.

Would be nice to get that done before end of season. Just listening to some of the blog boys questioning this deal because of the risk that BI would leave as a free agent...was pretty annoying. We obviously wouldn't cough up draft compensation if there wasn't a clear path to a long term contract. I would love to see an extension done to stick it to the blog boys who know nothing about the situation.

The biggest part of getting Ingram is how cheap we got a guy entering his prime while allowing everyone else on the team to slot one slot lower on the scoring side. You don’t generally get that other than when you trade for stars.

The Raptor also have a good enough roster where the first round pick we draft next season could be in the top 5 and not start with this team right away. Generally those guys fall to terrible teams who will take years to get better.

This trade was a very smart move by this organization and one that will be even bigger depending on where this draft pick lands. This is why Masai is a top executive in the NBA.

Masai just showed we can win a title in 2019... was 'casual_fan' too casual to notice?

Do you think the Steph Warriors got a discount on the Jimmy Butler extension that he left Miami over? Do you think OG gave Knicks a discount? What about Siakam to the Pacers? This crap is happening all over the league and you're just crying about having to overpay Ingram by a few mill per season potentially lol.

It would be a very "Toronto luck" result, though.

Are you implying that it seems Toronto seems to have outside forces that affect our “luck” and “lottery odds” in specific years that seem very suspicious? :)
