i really think this came from upstairs but that being said the pelinka/nica friendship is not to be dimissed

people seem to be stupified by a common occurrence in life, and that is people deal with people who they have cultivated friendships with. not only do you trust them and they trust you, but you want to help them and they you.

this was an "i scrub your back and you scrub mine" deal

and for those who think pelinka did nothing and it just fell into his lap, it was HIS lap it fell into. part of the business is the network you build. if what nico said was not total bs, where else was he going to get a big time center to offset the loss of luka. no matter how big a package anyone else was going to bring,,,,IT WASN'T GOING TO INCLUDE ANTHONY DAVIS

Nico had 2 very good Cs already. He basically improved position that didn't need improving.

I doubt he is lying. There is likely just a difference between what Dallas PD may consider a credible threat and what may have happened. If you get emails, letters, and tweets threatening you and your family...it doesn't necessarily mean that Dallas PD will consider it a credible threat.

With that said, I'm not familar with Dallas PD but usually local police departments aren't great with investigations or threat intel. Don't think he needs to go to them for comment and def don't think it's a lie. If he got reports saying Nico is getting threats and the Mavs acted on that...then sounds newsworthy and enough to report.

Well, other Mavs fans can tell you a lot about him. He's a scumbag and a mouthpiece for Nico. Stein and Cato are the most reliable Mavs reporters. MacMahon is an ESPN guy who got once kicked out of Mavs pressers due to some controversy with Cuban i think. Mavrelous could better explain it.

Losing these two guys makes the Lakers a worse team this year. If we added Mark Williams with our old team, i believe we are Ring contenders.

Right now with Luka/ME and minus AD and Max, I think we are capped at Conference Finals.
