Maaaaaaan i woulda been all over this trade, if i were the Cavs.
Ik i hate when Koby deals with Ainge but send LeVert out for these 2, accomplishes a lot. Get the back-up 5 that jbk wants in Mo. Then get the little pitbull in PJ we all want when teams get too physical; he potetinally could take Niang's role come playoff time too..
Deal also woulda got ya below the tax line. Exactly why the Clippers wouldn't agree.
I'd try to make it a 3 team trade. Have those 2 rerouted our way, send LeVert to the Jazz, let the Jazz keep the Clippers 2nd rounder for facilitating. Clippers keep Mills and Eubanks.

I don’t think Mo is a viable back-up big. I don’t know if this kills two birds with one stone. It would put us under the apron, but it’s very debatable if getting rid of LeVert for this haul would be worth it

Well, if you like Eubanks better, send him our way, Bama still goes to the Jazz.ijspeelman wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10138512-report-pj-tucker-mo-bamba-more-traded-from-clippers-to-jazz-for-mills-eubanks

PJ Tucker is toast, that guy has no business playing any minutes at this point. The Sixers were nuts for giving him his current deal.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

He's getting waived/bought out. If the Cavs want to kick the tires on him, they can have him in for a workout.

Who would you prefer for spot 15 out of PJ, McGee, and Biyombo?jbk1234 wrote:mcfly1204 wrote:JujitsuFlip wrote:Well, if you like Eubanks better, send him our way, Bama still goes to the Jazz.

None of the above really. Theres a reason none of them are currently on a roster. McGee with a gun to my head.

Well, with Luka traded to the Lakers, seems any trade is on the table between now and Thursday.

What’s crazy is a lot of talking heads were still saying the Mavs were the biggest threats to OKC. I think that’s out the window now

We'll see if they make another trade before Thursday.

They're denying it, but it seems likely to me Luka was demanding a trade and the Lakers were the only team on his list with an asset the Mavs wanted. The fact that even the Lakers didn't offer more for Luka suggests they knew.
Otherwise it's inexplicable why the Mavs didn't listen to offers from every team in the league, or supermax extend him then listen to offers from every team in the league.

Ben's buyout is now official, we'll see if he lands in CLE.

We still have until the 20th to get to 14 players, even if that is via a 10 day contract, while we allow the buyout market to develop.

I felt Cleveland made the most sense. No expectations, he wouldn't be given rotation minutes (at least I would hope not), and if he provides values in the minutes he does get, he'd like start getting more. Going to LAC because he'll get the most playing time out of the gate feels like a recipe for the Ben Simmons status quo.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I'm looking around at who are currently free agents and those rumored to be, nothing really sticks out to me.
I think one of Robert Covington or Reggie Bullock just as extreme insurance options could make sense but if we do that, would it make sense just to bring back Marcus Morris? I have no clue.
I wish Chandler Hutchison would've ever been anything, since he's already on the Charge, easy rest of the season deal but he's nothing. Nothing on the Charge, including our 2way guys really seem worthwhile.
I'm still not all way out on the corpse of McGee reunion just in case Allen gets hurt for the 4th spring in a row.
