Not convinced at all by the Fox acquisition for Spurs. I don't think he moves the needle for them tbh.

Is he even better than Lavine? I tend to think they'd have been better off with Lavine while keeping some of their extra picks for a bigger trade down the road.

Depends on the contract he signs.

They're better, but that team is still a work in progress, also them starting CP3 over Castle makes no sense at all. LaMelo was killing them in the first half in large part because CP3 was starting, they went with Castle on him in the 2nd half, he quieted it all down and held him to 2-11 for the 2nd half. If I were building that team, I'd zig while everyone is expecting me to zag, I'd try my next target in FA/tade would be Jaren Jackson, putting him and Wemby together as a frontcourt would be lethal since Jaren is mobile enough to guard wing 4s, and he's too big for them to defend.

I don't see how LaVine grows with that team much, Zach turns 30 next month, Fox won't be 28 till December. Also, they gave up virtually nothing to get him, only 1 pick was good and that's the Minnesota 2031, Bulls pick wasn't going to convey, the Hornets pick is going to be 2 seconds, and the Spurs pick is 2027 which will be junk if Victor is healthy. They still have the Hawks picks, almost all their own picks and the Mavs 2030 pick.

I do believe the Spurs will be pretty good and very soon. They still need another piece---like a third option and two way wing, but I wouldn't be surprised if they crack the top 6 next season already.

Looking like Suggs is as important to that team as Banchero and Franz Wagner. Perhaps more (at least in the regular season) as the Magic had still been winning games with Suggs there even with their two best scorers out.

Can be the only real takeaway right? I still think the Magic are legit and will put together a late season run...It has been really surprising to watch them lose some many games after getting their stars back...

However, looking at the stats, Banchero has been really struggling back since his return.

Nico Harrison is a evil genius. The Mavs look insane on both ends.

I don't believe it, but just imagine the Mavericks going on to win a title this season (and possibly beating the Lakers on their way there). That would be the most insane story in the NBA--probably like ever.

As good as Luka is, his defense will always hold back a team from winning a chip unless he drastically improves on that end. Mavs are a much better team in the short term. They can win a chip with this squad.

I'd be very cautious as of right now with any judgement. You are right however that when Luka is your main piece you do need to build the team accordingly on defense (like with JB and some others)...

Houston is on a 5 game losing streak, they’ve really missed FVV, they seem to have lost a lot of their early season mojo.

I hate the Lakers, but we need the Pacers to lose.

Anthony Davis at half-time: 24points/13rebounds/5assists/3block on 9-13 shooting and 2-2 from 3. Probably headed for a 40/20 game. Could be a 40points triple double as well.

Sengun: 5 points/4rebounds on 2-8 shooting.

At least Brunson tries, Luka is just extremily lazy. His defense is so bad it breaks records
