Post#1 » by BearlyBallin » Sat Feb 8, 2025 6:21 pm

From SI

"The Washington Wizards have agreed to a two-way contract with Jaylen Martin, league sources told @hoopshype. Martin spent time with the Brooklyn Nets this season and has averaged 16.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals in the G League this season," Scotto tweeted.

Martin had a big game against us in that video, so I can see the interest....

Apparently it's Jaylen Nowell, who has been playing well for the GoGo this year. I think?

He was to the Blazers, apparently. They picked him up on a 2-way. Deni fans can have one more thing to destroy the FO over after the Cisco kid blows up in Portland.

Maybe both? Martin is listed on the box score. Same reporter has both Jaylens in his tweets. Idk.

Read on Twitter

It’s Martin on a two way.
Nowell was signed to a 10 day.

From what I've seen of JM on video, he's a talented kid.
That said, I am a little surprised we didn't give the spot to Cissoko.

I just realized Martin is a rookie.

I knew he was an UDFA signed by the Nets but for some reason I thought he was with another NBA team before this season.

I wish he would slow down a bit. He looks like he’s out of control sometimes but honestly I like his size and aggressive play.

I can’t explain why but I feel there’s potential worth developing. I hope they keep him on a two way contract for next season.

Everything there is to know about Jaylen Martin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaylen_Martin

He just turned 21 in January. Was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school but went to the Overtime Elite instead. Played there a year. Went undrafted in '23.

Here he is scoring 31 points for the Delaware BlueCoats a couple of months ago.
