The locker room is going to be so awkward that I'd just tell Mark to stay home the rest of the year.

to me it smells a little like Lakers got cold feet. Asked the Dr's to find as many issues as possible to rescind it.

but i am very cynical, so im likely wrong

Was told once your back goes bad it never returns to full strength. He's a athlete playing against the best athletes in the world.

He's cooked we just have to embrace it.

I think Dwight was the last center who had major back surgery and he was never the same after that injury. Mark can still play, but he's going to be limited with his movement. Which is why he defense has been so bad since coming back.

He'll likely play out his contract, but I see no future here long-term.

I think they were riding high on the Luka trade, made an impulse decision, and got cold feet.

This is good for Mark. The Lakers embarrassed him and told him they don't want him. If he doesn't get the competitive fire to work hard now and get that 2nd contract, then he'll never ever have it.

Well, no matter the details, Mark Williams is back, as is his back, for better or worse. In some ways I’m glad this got cancelled. Still think Mark can be our center for the future IF his medical issues are not chronic. My fear is that Lakers medical determined the worse. Maybe they just got scared off. In any case we have to pray he can get fully healthy, strong and back to what his promise was as a rookie.

if he was liked it should be fine. they all said nice things about Nurkic in the media because they had too, but I'm sure the players will give him a warm welcome back.

he can be angry at the front office.

if they so that, they should at least give him some type of role with the unit for the rest of the year.

they signed him to be a locker room guy

The deal could be revisited in the offseason I suppose.

Shams said they found multiple issues not related to his back. That doesn't sound good.

Mark can't be angry at the Hornets, he got a lot of value back. He can and should be angry at the Lakers, as the timing of this doesn't make sense at all.... almost 72 hours after the trade. It doesn't take that long to fail a physical. They definitely reneged and this should be investigated
