Couple highlights from Marc Stein’s latest via HoopsHype:

By the time Cuban found out about the Luka-for-AD trade, it was too late. Dumont never approached for advice. Sources say Cuban urged Harrison not to go ahead with the swap … only to find out that the deal had already been sealed with the Lakers by verbal handshake.

My understanding is that Harrison — due to security concerns amid a widely publicized pregame protest that drew an estimated crowd of 1,000 dissenters outside American Airlines Center calling for Harrison’s dismissal and the sale of the team — did not come to arena Saturday even to watch out of view from the team’s offices.

Also presumably due to the same security concerns, Harrison did not speak Friday at the press conference to welcome Davis and fellow newcomers Christie and Caleb Martin to town.
