I have said as fans, people cherry pick the results. Tanking isnt easy when you are in it, but the results are undeniable if you do it correctly.

Take the Raptors as a good example.

2 years ago Raptors were a were a .500 team. In that offseason they decided to tank. Let FVV go for nothing. Traded OG and Siakim.

So last year they purged their guys and now this year have all young guys to go through the struggle. But in them doing so and gaining assets, they now were in position to get Brandon Ingram.

Now would anyone say the Bulls are in a better position than the Raptors? Absolutely not. And you will see how quickly they pass us by starting next season.

We are half purging right now. We havent started over. The sooner the better so in 3 years when things are looking up, you will forget the losses.

Welp, the two new guys who played looked awful and the new guy who maybe could have helped on the defensive glass didn’t play. Maybe Billy’s buying into the tank after all!

I really didnt think KH would play as much as he did. But he had a horrible debut.

When Zo returns, its really going to crowd this backcourt. I dont really care.

To me, Matas, Ayo and Coby should not be affected by any rotations. They should all get 30 mins.

I am in LA, I watched pleeeenty of the Kings. Huerter has been bad for 2 years. He was hitting shots in the first Beam Team year but that was all he could do. His jumper was broken all of last year and then Keon Ellis showed up and not only shot it better but plays real defense.

Huerter shouldn't play if you want to win. Sacramento learned that last year.

He and Collins are dead weight. Not sure why Billy gave him so much burn when all he did was get torched and brick shots.

I am going to go against this. Huerter has a stroke that is just off. He's aggressive rebounding and active on defense. Something many players on this team are lacking. I think by season end his stroke will be falling and he will a great part of the rotation. I was impressed.

I 100% believe we are in a better position than the Raptors and I am no fan of our front office. They've spent heavily on guys who are in decent or good with no real outside shooting, resulting in negative value contracts and flawed team construction. Is anybody giving up anything for RJ Barrett on his contract? Poetl? I hope they enjoy the 9-10 game for three straight years before blowing it like we are doing way ahead of them.

I also like the chances of the Blazers' pick actually conveying and being better than what they get from the Pacers next season.

Yup these fans have been rooting for tanking a lot more than for actually winning games. They have become anti bulls fans at this point lol

I dont think you understand. How do you think we got Tyson and Eddy, then Luol, Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, Joakim Noah etc etc. We tanked.

That left us with enough draft equity of good players to build something. Whether it be with trades or whatever. Those particular teams only got so far, until we finally got lucky in the draft and got DRose.

DRose adding to those other really solid players gave us 8 consecutive playoff years and one ECF and could have won a title.

The team we have now is a perpetual 9-10th seed. As we have been the last 2 years.

So this isnt about Jerry. This is just reality. If you arent a LA or Miami where top players come because they feel like it, we have to build thru the draft and get lucky.

Thats not accurate. We tried to run without Jordan and failed

Im trying to figure out what trey jones and his expiring contract bring to the table to make billy play him 17 minutes in this game? He may be my new whipping boy. Terrible fit for this team, and useless player. He is Carter without the 3 pointer.
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

He can't possibly even know the offense yet. What is this board?

Meaning, why did he play at all…

It's an easy stealth tank move without being too obvious about it.

WindyCityBorn wrote:Not trading Vuc was a huge mistake. He will have no value outside of being an expiring contract this Summer. He has fully regressed back to the guy we gave up our future for.

AK being a terrible GM as usual.

It's true. They could've done the Capela trade and had $20M expire this summer. Or they could've even done it a month ago when teams were more interested, just taken the 2nds and ran with it... instead of dangling Crapevic at the deadline when superstars were being sold for apples.

Also, if they moved Zach and Vuc earlier in the season, SAS would realize the Bulls were going for top-4, and they might've even dropped their asking price on that pick (maybe we would've had a little more leverage in the trade).

AKME are a definitively horrible FO.

GSW got to re-confirm they dodged a bullet by not meeting AK's silly price.

You don't want to keep playing hindsight cop, but these failures are being telegraphed by the board for 4y straight.

He's a terrible fit for this team. He is undersized and not switchable, he is slow, and not a good 3 point shooter and we have a glut of guards to develop. He has no potential for this team. And he is a traditional type point guard which also is not our current style of play at all. He is a dime a dozen player. So not sure why we immediately slot him in for 17 min. If its part of the tanking plan, im all for it, but it wasn’t im sure.

What are you talking about man? The two combined for 1/10, and both are known for the defensive impact. Guru's right- these guys played their minds out! Our rebounding advantage was cemented when he had Tre, Coby, Huerter and Giddey commanding the paint!

Incredible turnaround by GS-gotta tip the hat

Curry was on fire-fun to watch

Please play this lineup
Ayo/Ball
White/Huerter
Matas/Giddy
PWill/Giddy/Phillips
Vuc/Smith
Collins, Jones, Carter. Terry deep bench

Get a top 7 pick-that's what counts now, along with Matas' development

Then trade Vuc/White and suck next year

Only things learned:

Williams is still bad.

Billy is still clueless.

It’s only one game but I’m not sure Huerter should play over Terry at this point.
