The trade for him was obviously a fail though. I mean I don't know how that can be argued against. The prevailing thought was we were going all in with Book and KD for a championship. And we did fairly well the first season we had him when we still had Ayton.
But last year was a huge disappointment and this year probably worse. And we haven't even gotten through halfway of the years our picks were given up for yet. This year we will likely give up a lottery pick.
Impossible. Big spender Matt will never allow this to happen. Both present and future are super bright.
Makes you wonder if Mat read the new CBA because it was very prohibitive and it was written what was going to happen
For the long term of the franchise, almost hope they have such a poor second half that Booker and the team work out a trade for him
Truly, I do not think the Suns can straddle this by trying to rebuild about Booker by just trading Durant. I think they just need to rip the whole dang baid-off
How do you rebuild around Book with the limited assets we have? Even if you could sign a max guy in 27 when Beal comes off the books, we simply don't have enough defense, size, etc, to do it.
We would have to make a killer draft pick this summer, likely getting a steal C late in the first who could protect the rim and surprise. Like a Lively, Missi, etc.
But still, even take a bottom tier team this year like the Pelicans and look at their defense and depth when they get healthy.
Zion, Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, Dejounte Murray, Yves Missi, CJ McCollum, Cooper Flagg (or whoever else they get with a top 5 pick)...Bruce Bowen, etc, etc.
Honestly, remove Zion from that group and give it to Booker as a supporting cast. I think we'd be a lot better. But it takes a while to get a bunch of pieces like that.
