To be fair he only had two first team all stars to work with. 9-6 is pretty great labouring under those dehabilitating conditions.

The Pacers were 11-2 for January. (Cleveland 10-5.) And Siakam is their only all star.

There are things about thibs that suck. But this isn't one of them. He is a great leader.

Don't worry, we will beat some lesser talented teams than the Celtics and Thibs will be given a key to the city as a result.

If this Boston game doesn’t show people how worthless Thibs’ coaching is, I don’t know what will. Total annihilation and the coach is watching just like the rest of us

Re: Thibs needs to go
I’ve been a Thibs supporter for a long time. But tonight is the straw the broke the camel’s back.
The definition of insanity is to repeatedly making the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome. His defensive schemes have killed this team all season, yet he keeps **** up with the drop coverage.
Also, holy **** did he drop the ball by not challenging that foul. It absolutely killed the momentum of the game, and it was so obvious in the moment when we saw it happen.
I am done with him. No amount of wins against equal or weaker competition will change my mind about him going forward.
He had 4 days to prepare for the Celtics and this is what he came up with?
Any knowledgeable fan could have told him that playing Kat, Precious and Hart in the lineup against this Celtics team was going to be a disaster. Yet, he kept rolling them out there.

And success on challenges has been one of the high points for the staff this year. How did he miss that one?
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Re: Thibs needs to go
Thibs defenders only see the shiny object in front of them which is our regular season record. They don't see the rust, mold and fungus behind it which is our record against elite teams, our dead @ss last place on 3pt defense, our mediocre defense (and he's supposed to be a defensive genius!), our slow grandma like pace on offense and I could keep going. But ya just keep looking at that shiny object as it dulls away when we get swept in the 2nd round.

I’ve thought about this over night and hear me out. What if Thibs has a great defensive scheme he wants to keep secret and will only use it in the playoffs?

I don’t think Thibs is that forward-thinking. His focus is on the regular season and seeding.
The silver lining is that if the Knicks had won last night, they might’ve been riding high with false confidence. This loss keeps them grounded, which is good. KAT doesn’t look right and could use some rest.

KAT needs to rest his hand for 2 weeks (minimum). The Knicks can afford that. Thibs, however, can't imagine that world.

Re: Thibs needs to go
So knicks 6th man is deuce who shot 1-8 last night, while C’s were able to start Kornet and their 6th man shot 9-14 with 27 points. Before stupidly blaming the coach, look at the lack of depth on this roster, and when you realize that pat riley, red auerbach or red holzman would not be having more success than thibs is having with this roster than you will realize how silly this argument is

Seriously? Kornet is a minimum contract player who used to be a Knick. The 6th man you are talking about Payton Pritchard would have been shipped a long time ago if he was a Knick. Either of these players would average 6-8 mpg if they were in Knicks uniform under Thibs.
