Hell, keep this year in and Luka has played in 422 career games and AD has played in 368 games since Luka was drafted. So Luka has been available for almost 60 more games. Again, that includes the 30 or so games that Luka has missed this year so it puts it into perspective just how much time AD has missed.

Missing 30 games so far year don’t count? Lol That’s almost half the season.

Can we remove the games AD missed last year? Since all the missing games don’t count?

Counts for what? We were talking about AD being “injury prone” and you replied to me and said the last 2 and 1/2 years AD has played more games than Luka. It’s a super cherry picked stat because it’s basically just this year. You can even take away this 1/2 year and go off the previous 2 years and Luka played more games than AD. Again, you are basically just talking about just this year.lol if it’s just 1/2 year then is it really “injury prone”? I don’t think so. AD has been known for many years to always get injured, not just one year (like this one)

You are focusing on one year (actually 1/2 year, this year), I’m focusing on since Luka has entered the league..lol

I’m focusing on the most recent 2 years. And the 30 games that Luka has missed this season count as much as any game that AD has missed. And if you look at how many games each has missed Luka has missed more games than AD over the last 2 years. Has AD been injury prone? Yes he has. Has Luka been injury prone? Yes he has. He’s had 3 calf injuries this season, all on the same calf. That’s sounds like he’s prone to injury on that calf.

Anyone else think it’s kind of weird that belichicks girlfriend would have been a sophomore in HS when they beat the falcons in the SB?

Not sure yet. I know one thing however, its Super Bowl Sunday and I refuse to be in a thread that is constantly being derailed by NBA chat.

What are your thoughts on the Luka doncic trade?

He’s a Celtics fan (surprise).

You keep focusing most of your argument on this year but this year is an outlier for Luka. He hasn’t missed at least 25 games before in his career till this year. AD has missed that many games 4 different times in his career including the Covid year and there’s still a chance he could miss at least that many games this year.lol

I’m not arguing that Luka doesn’t get injured, he does, but let’s be real AD has proven to be more injury prone in his career and specifically the last 5-6 years or so he’s been trending down as far as being healthy goes. I remember when the lakers traded for AD, one of the things laker fans talked about was trying to keep him healthy and it seems like he’s been even more injured as a laker. And now he’s 32, and with his play style it doesn’t project well for him. Again, I’m an AD fan but realistically speaking the guy has a hard time staying on the court. It’s not Joel embiid levels of missing games, but it’s not super far off either.

Is it an outlier or is it a precursor? His weight has continued to balloon. He’s in the 270 lb range now. According to the Mavs that’s why he’s had 3 calf injuries this year.

You might be right about that, we will see. I’m hoping playing with lebron gets him in better shape, but yeah if he doesn’t change things it could start to spiral down for him.

I have a feeling the Lakers are going to move on from Labron this off season. I believe he has a no trade clause but I just have a feeling they are ready to start their new chapter with Luka.

I actually hope the trade humbles Luka enough to take care of his weight and his health. Cut back on the drinking. If he does that and can get back down to around the 240-245 range (where he was his rookie year) he could rip off multiple Championships. If not he could be the next version of Joel Embiid.

Baseball is basically like European Soccer leagues. Where one or two clubs buy up all the best players. It's a joke.

I’m in the group of people that wants to trade lebron and rebuild. Lebron has done a lot for the lakers but the guy is 40.. Time is always undefeated. I will say I wish the lakers kept max Christie though. I think you guys got a very underrated defensive player there for sure.

Not disagreeing but the president of the Yankees organization recently said something like “most of us can’t spend like the dodgers can” is hilarious to me because historically speaking it’s what the Yankees have always done going back to those murder row teams from the 1920s.loll
