Should have offered that same package for Poeltl instead.

I don't think I would have given that deal for Poeltl honestly. He's a solid role player, but 29 while Williams, if he can get healthy is only 23 and have a much higher ceiling. Only player I would have offered the same deal would have been for Turner.

Now I think Bamba may make the most sense from the free agency market. Maybe Boban because of the history with Luka, but Bamba fits nicely and is young, if he stays healthy of course.

Start LeBron at 5 and make Christian Wood his backup. Wood is a solid backup sixth man as he showed with the Rockets and Mavs.

"We fully vetted his health stuff, led by Dr. Kris Jones at UCLA Health and Dr. Leroy Sims on our team, and he's had no surgeries," Pelinka said. "So these are just parts of, he's still growing into his body. We vetted the injuries he's had and we're not concerned about those.

Mark Williams played up to the trade deadline for weeks.

Adam Silver is clearly helpless against the will of big markets. The Lakers had buyer's remorse, that is all.

What a joke. Clever the Lakers say the feedback that they overpaid and saw the risk of the trade after their Luka high.

The reality is you don’t acquire Baby Greg Oden thinking he has 2 knees. If he had two knees the price would be a lot higher. Silver honestly destroying the league.

This is unbelievable. Should we just skip the entire season and have Laker-Celtic finals every year?

The Lakers knew he had multiple injuries before making the trade.

Dallas tried this crap too.

Literally 100% of trades are contingent on physicals

I’m a Celtics fan since the early 80s— would love to pile on the Lakers but there is just nothing here

I was half expecting this to happen. Not due to conspiracies, but because Williams is never healthy.

Yea I agree I think Bamba is the guy they should target. Should try to find someone to pair him up with who’s more defensive minded. Have a combo like D12/Javale

Wood hasn’t played all year. When is he due back at this point? He’s too frail to cover someone like Jokic who has been their nemesis every year in the playoffs. Joker can’t really be stopped but you need someone in to limit him a little

Highly subjective but I kind of think that’s doubtful. There has to be merit and ground rules to rescind a trade based off medicals. The Lakers don’t make the rules. CBA has bylaws and you can’t just change rules because you changed your mind 72 hours later. Mind you now they have two players who openly know they tried trading them and wanted them off their team. It’s not something a team wants to happen or have to manage the players reintegration back on the roster.

Personally thought the trade for Mark Williams with his injury history was kind of an overpay/risky giving up Dalton, Pick swap & 2031 unprotected. Charlotte was getting good value for a guy who’s an RFA in 18 months with CHA probably not keen on having to give him a longer term contract.

If only AD hadn't played a game for them yet. But yes they should definitely try. Worst trade in the history of the league.
