The expression "he could beat you on his worst day" applies here.

He may not be conditioning-crazy like LeBron and Kobe, but Luka wills his team to wins.

You can't teach that or replace it with guys that stuff stat sheets.

Winners win. THAT'S who you want on your team...

Unless you're the Mavs front office.

I'm so sad for Mavs fans. They do not deserve this owner.

Not a good look to **** talk your franchise players on the way out. I’m sure other stars are taking notes on this Mavs front office. I know if I had the choice, I would stay away from a team like that

This loser is nothing more than a gold digger. He's achieved nothing on his own.

Also, imagine being a billionnaire and having your pick of any man in the world, and you choose this creature. I'm embarrassed for Miriam's daughter.

Mavs: He did not have a work ethic, did not play defense, was overweight and was always injured

Fans: Omg, why are you so disrespectful?

Wow, some people have this opinion?

Its a joke...

But it doesnt make them wrong. They can be ignorant about Shaq, and still be parroting someone who is right.

Time will see how this plays out. I think Mavs dodged a huge bullet. I realize thats a minority view right now.

Its not really a minority view it jsut doesn't make any sense at all. If they wanted to trade him to "dodge a bullet" they could have gotten young assets. Trading for an older player now that has way worse concerns about longevity is just not logical.

Who could they have got?

This is kind of getting ridiculous at this point. Bottom line they traded Luka because they did not want to pay him the super max.

Ah yes, Shaq. The pinnacle of fiery work ethic, an obsessive gym rat who usually managed to even keep his playing weight under 400 lbs. You're not fooling anybody Dumont, maybe he's just trying to take a little bit of the heat off Nico

Shaq was a bad example. Candace Parker pointed out Shaq is an anomaly and she is correct. His strength and size led the Lakers to a 3 peat. He was able to get away with it to a degree.

Luka isn't a dominant center in the 90s-00's when being a little outta shape wasn't as big a deal. Luka is going to be the leader of whatever team he is on and being a good example is important.

That said, no way would I trade Luka.

Calling AD/Kyrie leader is hilarious. Both are quitters.

I really hope Luka uses this as motivation and tries to embarrass the mavs every time they play for the rest of his career.

How quickly they forget how damn good this dude is. At his absolute best, 100% healthy, Luka is every bit as good as any player in the world not named Jokic.

The problem is Kyrie doesn't have the time for those young assets to blossom. He's got a P.O. this summer. If he were to walk, that better return would have to account for that. If Kyrie walks, you also have to deal with the public fallout of going from a contender to a rebuilding team.

Finally, I feel like fans are sleeping on just how good that Lively/AD front court could be over the next 2-4 playoffs.

Took 2 seconds for anyone to see Shaq being named and realize this guy never watched basketball. Kobe's feud with Shaq is famous over his work ethic. Shaq has even admitted to kobe being right about it.
