Sometimes you just forget a game happened and move on, this is one of those times, it doesn’t define us

Oh this was brutal to watch. It’s why I don’t believe in a switch defense with KAT, he just can’t defend the perimeter. He also can’t defend the rim. You have to just be willing to accept that. So it’s hard to take this team serious as a contender when you got Brunson and KAT out there getting hunted like this. There is a cap on the ceiling of this team. It’s a good team but still a lot of weaknesses
People using the injury excuse on KAT but they literally hunted him the same way on the opener. He’s a cone.
He’s always been terrible
It’s crazy that people are still in denial about it in 2025. Ignoring a decade of data, film, articles on how awful he is because they don’t like Thibs.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

1. Upgrade Thibs this summer with Dan Hurley
2. Trade KAT for 2-way player(s)
3. Contend

In theory you would try to hide him or sit him with Mitch as the 5 for stretches. He’s always been a cone but the offense is suppose to offset that.

Yep. It is a very long season. Though our record against the top teams is not encouraging

The problem with Sexton is you will face the same problems on defense--probably even worse. Also he makes around 20million so they wouldn't be any plausible way for us to get him.
The ideal backcourt fit would be someone with size and length that can defend and hit the 3 and playmake a bit. Very hard to get by in a trade at this point without picks etc. I think it would be very important to be able to play JB and that player next to each other with no compromising defense or offense---someone like Derrick White really.
Sounds like Malcom Brogdon would be a great fit.
Ideally Bridges would be playing the 3 as well.
Feels like breaking up the OG contract into another guard who can score and create and a rim protector is the kind of move that should be considered in the offseason.
Generally speaking yes definitely---but he is getting up there in age and is extremely injury prone. On top of that he makes 22mill. which essentially rules him out as an option as you would have to include Mitch in a trade which I would only do in a scenario Mitch can't stay healthy and only holds the value of an expiring.

I missed this game it had L written all over it without OG. We also need Mitch back to have any chance against the elite teams.

Our only win came last season when we played physical with Hartenstein/Mitch at Center. We blew them off the court and the narrative was they didn't try because they clinched everything lol But the eyes test showed me the Celtics don’t like to play physical. We need to go back to our old identity with Mitch at Center and let Hukporti take the backup C mins. Bring Josh Hart off the bench and call up TJ Warren. We probably wont win the series but we won’t get punked like that again.
I just want to bring this up. Certain teams KAT has to stay at the 4 Celtics, Cavs, and Thunder. I also think we need to bring TJ warren up we need more bench production.

Are these elite teams that much superior to the Knicks in talent that we look like a lottery team when we play them? Or is there another reason that explains why we've gotten blown out by Boston, Cleveland and OKC?

yes, KAT is a terrible defender.
but to think a wonky knee doesn't affect a man that size much is fuqing stupid.
on to the next, on on to the next one.

We've gotten blown out by Cleveland?
The Knicks beat the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best team in the West. They lost a close one to OKC then got blown out the second time around. They lost a close one to Cleveland. And they got blown out twice by Boston. So with that sample size, Boston is the one team that is a real problem for the Knicks. We'll see if that holds up when Mitch is back.

How many wonky injuries do you expect we'll have if we can make it out of the 1st round?
