Now he's slumpling, pressing too much. I guess it was mandated to let Bruce Brown play heavy minutes and he's shown to be a really good asset.

I think they know what they have in Battle so give him no minutes. :o They are keeping him so not showcasing.

I think Olynyk was showcased well and now has right calf tightness. So getting massages until he's traded.

My concern is how Darko asks our players to defend. Shead, Mogbo and Walter have their fair share of fouling opposing player, and seems the approach is to hack (overly physical, pressed and to cheat against the refs not calling them). If you don't have a big shot blocker, I don't see this approach works, while having a big shot blocker behind, our offense isn't going to be good.

I am really unsure the approach from Darko is right.

I think as long as not reaching but playing ultra physical defense is prepping them for playoff level defense. Don't be lazy but slide and try to beat players to the spot seems good. Things will eventually slow down for them on defense.

Don't care about steal numbers, care about what film shows.

Certainly, but overly physical aggressive doesn't mean good defense.
Anyway, Walter isn't as bad as Dick last year, but I certainly want to see Walter shoot better, hope his corner left can be better than 23%

Same problem dick had last year. He still hasn’t grown into his body and can’t maintain his body control anytime he skightly brushes into a defender.

In short like dick last year— Walter needs a bigger but.

How are we feeling about his rookie season?

I personally think he's a keeper. Kids got a lot of potential.

5 lbs is fine, just get stronger. He's getting a lot of good experience guarding the POA. He should at least be a better defending Ayo Dosunmu.

I like his instincts. He can create his own shot. He can shoot the 3. His passing is a revelation to me. He tries on defence as well.

I like him...maybe more than Gradey because Jakobe can create his own shot more than Gradey. Gradey might be the better pure shooter but perhaps Jakobe is a better scorer overall.

You're probably right, I compare Walter to KCP, 6'5" 204lb, Walter is 6'4" 198lb

Defense alone Walter wins by a mile. Walter can handle backup of too

He looks way stronger with the ball than gradey does even though he’s just as skinny.

Physically mabe but KCP is strictly a SG while Walter is a combo guard.

He should start for the rest of the season. GD’s defensive effort shouldn’t be rewarded.

Done with the either or talk with Gradey and Ja'kobe. Got old quicker than people hating on pat mccaw.

I'm happy we have both. They look good playing together. Good to have some home grown developing offensive talent.

I don’t think it’s a lack of effort with Gradey it’s more so physical strength and lateral quicks with him. I mean if you’ve watched Bargnani play you would be able to tell Dick is at least trying.

Can he play the point? I think he has potential to be a backup pg, and this is really the only way we could get him min alongside with dick ochai and battle for the bench

He can guard the POA and his A/T is at least 1.5. He can be a backup PG if Shead is too small or struggling.

At 20 years old, that's awesome.

I'm amazed how much he's improved and how I'm seeing him higher than Gradey lately.

He's got a long way to go before reaching Gradey Dick's level, but I've been impressed so far this season.
