Game 52: Warriors at Bucks - 2/10/25 - NBATV/FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:17 am

Marquee matchup with Steph/Jimmy but no Giannis and Bucks on a B2B.

Expect to see some Sims and KPJ.

As usual please keep this thread on the game itself and post trade/transaction stuff in the team thread. Thx.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

They probably let him play 44 with that in mind.

Bought tickets to this one a few days ahead of the deadline.

Bummer about Giannis, but seeing Jimmy on the Warriors is going to be awesome.

Can't wait for Doc to play Brook for way too long in this one.

Don't. He can be rested when Giannis returns. Until then he's got to play these.

Yep. Isn’t there only like two games until the ASB? He can rest during the break and once Giannis is back.

That said, if they get down big in one of those two, just pull him out.

Start GTJ or AJ at the 2. I’m begging.

Dame has to step up when Giannis is out, that’s a big part of why he was acquired. In a vacuum him being a rhythm guy and having free reign might be good for him for lil bit

I'd probably have a hard cap on Dame's minutes and sit Brook to see what we have in Porter and Sims, but we all know that ain't happening. Just get to the All-Star Break healthy.

Start KPJ might as well see if he's worth anything while Giannis is out.

He generally does. But asking him to come up big when he just played 44 minutes yesterday is a lot. Maybe if he was 24 and not 34. I agree with the other posters that he should just sit or at least pull him early if the game is out of hand.

Dame is questionable so he may very well sit. Pat is questionable. Giannis out of course. Brook probable.

If the gut punch (For me personally at least) of not landing Jimmy Butler at the deadline wasn't enough, now less than a week later I have to sit and watch him clown the Bucks again.

The east this season would have been there for the taking for the Bucks had they acquired Jimmy.

I honestly don't think the Celtics/Cavs/Knicks would have beat a Giannis + Jimmy combo in a 7 game series.

Jimmy's impact will be about the same for the Warriors as his impact would have been for us had we acquired him. Warriors now go from fringe play-in team (Like us). To a team that could legitimately win their conference (Like us had we acquired Jimmy).

At least we got Dame who might 3-peat in the 3-point shootout this weekend......lol.
