What is all this “savings” going to go to?

Not to ordinary people. So where?

And if it’s not to ordinary people, then these sadopopulists (h/t Timothy Snyder) need to come forward and explain themselves, in full.

There will be no savings - the work still has to be done, so they'll contract it out, which is more expensive. But you can fire contractors (or not renew the contract).

Well of course it's unconstitutional. They're not even trying to hide their disdain for the rule of law. What are we going to do, secede? Dems obviously don't have the guts.

Yeah, I see where this is going.

I suggest you all prepare accordingly.

Trump and Musk both threatening to ignore court orders now

Congratulations Trump supporters! You've destroyed democracy! But no, you're not stupid or evil, you just irrationally hate trans people enough to vote away your constitutionally guaranteed freedoms! Good job!

Just to be clear, freedoms are guaranteed only if they are guaranteed for *everybody,* even people you don't like. If the POTUS is allowed to say, "mmm, nahhh, not in this case" then *no one's* freedoms are guaranteed.

Which is why we say Trump voters are stupid. You allowed yourself to be persuaded by frankly very flimsy, non factual arguments to throw away your freedoms. What is wrong with you? Why do you hate America?

I guess the answer to my question is that conservatives believe that there are two categories of people in the world, people who the law binds but does not protect, and people who the law protects but does not bind, and they are making the crazy assumption that they, and not just a handful of billionaires, fall into the second category.

Trump supporters, you are in the first group. You are too poor to be in the second group. That is true for 99.9% of you. Black people are definitely in the first group and I understand that gives you wood. But you're in that category too. Hate to break it to you, but you're not all that.

I suppose there's also the argument that "well this was true before Trump, he is just making it very explicit that he and other billionaires are above the law, we are just making the system more transparent." There is some truth to that, and I guess it is good and healthy to pull up the rock and expose the worms wriggling underneath. But why vote for the worms, is what I don't understand?

And the answer to that is "The worms told me that trans and woke people are the worms" which is why we think you're stupid

Awaiting the outcome of this, if they do not comply WITH the complicity of the GOP officials, then the Dictatorship is ON.

Who didn’t see this coming a mile away, you can’t tell me there is no wall of separation between the WH and this DOJ. New Yorkers need to vote Adams out.
