This doesn’t respond to my question.
Even if he is senile, old and knows nothing about basketball, he okays everything his GM does. He doesn’t choose GMs any more.
So how is he a huge potential danger?
Because connley isn't going to stick around if Glen is the majority owner therefore Glen would have to find a new gm
First, even if Tim Connelly leaves, Glen no longer chooses GMs, he has others do it.
Second, why do you think Connelly would leave? If you’re a GM, you want an owner that opens the wallet, and one who lets you make all the calls. This is rarer than you’d expect, but Glen does both of these. Taylor not only pays Connelly extremely well, one of the highest GM salaries in the NBA, but he’s agreed to every expensive move Connelly has asked for. Taylor even gave Connelly the OK on deals he didn’t like (the Gobert deal). Next, Connelly doesn’t want to move his family again. And finally, Connelly probably wants to be here to see how the team he put together does!
Do you know Connelly isn’t going to stick around? As a GM, I would be far more worried about ARod and Lore ponying up the cash for my moves, and I would certainly expect ARod to be one of the many owners that thinks he knows the business, and kibitzes.

Sounds like the NBA board of governers is probably not a problem.

Duh.
This was never in doubt.
See ya, Taylor. Please leave asap.
Go Wolves!!!
NOTE: “Lo-Rod has a plan to cut the payroll!” was the dumbest take ever. Really. Just ignorant. That was all Taylor spin before HE DID exactly what he decried.

I’m very concerned for the franchise.
I hope ARod and Lore are the people you hope they are.

Right! Who can trust exactly what they say? They may lie to the other owners and even their lender, but they’d never lie to you!
Especially when you don’t want to believe it!

Re: Dane Moore reporting indications are that Taylor lost arbitration
3 questions.
1. Will the new ownership group commit to being a luxury tax moving forward? Again this does not mean 2nd apron.
2. Will the new ownership group commit to not breaking up the core of the team trying to fix what TC already broke with the KAT trade?
3. Will the new owners reevaluate the situation at HC? It feels like Finch is both a new and old ownership choice, and it feels like Finch is the guy you hire to get you back to the playoffs, but not to a championship .

No informed opinion about the new owners.

Taylor traded your guy KAT and you weren’t concerned then but you’re concerned now?
Up is down, I guess.

You’ve lost your credibility in this area and now you’re only making yourself look worse, imho.

Conspiracy theory:
Taylor had Kat traded because he knew he’d lose and wanted to **** over the new owners.

Coming from you, who never quotes actual events and makes up crap, I’ll take that as a compliment!

Meh. I never posted what I thought the results of this arbitration would be, because none of us had evidence,
I posted the evidence for the case that Taylor would be a safer owner going forward.
I’m disappointed in the result, but who knows? This could have been a Hail Mary by Taylor, who shared my concerns after he heard ARod and Lore present their plan to slash the roster to get under the lux.
This is still the team we all love, so I just hope you guys are right.

Re: Dane Moore reporting indications are that Taylor lost arbitration
Glen "the snake" Taylor is out. I hope LoRod buys out his remaining 20% ASAP. Good riddance. I don't think Glen understands the true extent of how badly he tarnished his reputation.
This is a happy day for me.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
