Thompson has solid size at 6'5, he's mostly a spot up shooter which he does well but also has a bit of crafty scoring ability off the dribble at G league level. Smart player who plays within himself, shares the ball and doesn't make a ton of mistakes, not very athletic/dynamic or a good defender though.
from watching Osceola a bunch this year, he's not a guy I would've predicted getting any kind of NBA contract, but he did step up pretty well to pick up the shooting/scoring slack for about a 7-8 game stretch while McClung was going through a bad shooting slump earlier in the season, so maybe that impressed the Magic FO?
