This offer would only be given if the Raptors' selection falls in the 4/7 range (currently 5)

-Williams' frustrated transfer has left us some clues about Charlotte's new office -They are concerned about the long-term availability of their talented young people, they are in no hurry to compete and if they like the price, they pull the trigger
In this trade you get a young (only 2 years older than Lamelo) two-way guard in IQ, who although this year has missed many games, the rest of his career has been an iron man compared to Ball... a prospect who has taken a big step this year in Gradey and a high lottery pick... (Draft with some very talented guards at the top Harper/Edjecombe/Denim/Jakucionis)...to name a few.
RAPTORS
In:Lamelo
Out:Dicks/IQ/Raptors FRP
Masai Uriji has been building the team by trading picks (Agbaji/Imgram/Poelt etc)..with this trade he gets a super talented guard (missing piece), who should be a lot of fun to play with with huge room for growth due to youth..
(Extra)Trade 2
we will have to wait until August..
RJ Barrett for Lonzo Ball/K.Huerter
This trade the RAPTORS gain some long-term financial flexibility and fill some gaps
The Bulls get a young and talented scorer with room to grow for their reconstruction

After trading for Ingram, Masai is trading for Lamelo and then looking for the next injury prone player, because their medical staff have the touch of Jesus.

Lamelo is untouchable (or almost) or insufficient offer... excuse my ignorance

Re: Hornets/Raptors (with conditions) and Bulls? Ball
The Bulls aren't launching into a playoff run next year. They'll be moving on from the last of their veterans and deciding which of their UFA guards they want to keep. Ball is more than likely staying.
I don't think they see the answer as trading for Barrett by moving Ball and then have to keep Gidddey, White and/or Dosunmu as their PG. Not if they aren't getting a TOR pick. they''re far better off keeping Ball, figuring White is their much cheaper than Barrett SG keep only some of Gifddey, Huerter and Dosunmu for their bench and have money left over.

probably not on the table at this point for anything realistic, but even if we had any reason to move him, this package isn't fetching a star no matter how flawed one may think they are

Yeah, if we're talking seriously here, which I don't know if we should be, it only becomes sensical if Hornets come out of the draft with Harper and the Raptors get Flagg, and then you could see the case for both teams for a Lamelo for Barnes trade (or the Hornets sending the Raptors assets to move up from #2 or #3 to #1 to get Flagg).
I think the Hornets have to keep Lamelo. He's shown you can build a quality O around him, but his trade value can't be near as high as his talent after 1 healthy year out of 5, 2 injury plagued ones and 2 decimated by injury. That's too scary. And any whispers of not disclosing everything after this Mark Williams mess (even if it wasn't their fault) won't help.
3 more years of Lamelo, and if he's always hurt the Hornets will have added high lotto picks to Brandon Miller and can move Lamelo in his final year as an expiring with picks to try to build a strong team in Miller's prime. Also Miami and Dallas 1sts. And if Lamelo is healthy say 2/3 years you can probably still sneak in one more high pick from that year and hopefully a 4th strong starter (assuming they can grab one in this draft).
It's really not out of the question that Lamelo's injuries eventually give the Hornets a great team. Already got them Brandon Miller. Might mean the difference between pick 10th and picking 1st this year. Shame they likely got last year's wrong, though obviously it's too early to really judge Salaun. But Edey, Clingan or Buzelis woulda fit nicely, and only Edey woulda helped them actually win games this year (derogatory).
Where's the D?

What? You don’t want multiple Dicks from Toronto?

I think you left out 2 more unprotected first round picks. Also hell no to this.

Bulls have zero interest in Andrew Wiggins 2.0 taking on-ball possessions away from Buzelis and the team loves Lonzo, that part of the trade fails to launch.

Hornets fans will hate this, but as a Raps fan, I want nothing to do with Ball.
