A number of occasions, Mahomes wasn’t looking downfield, he was looking at the rush while receivers were getting uncovered

Because he was shook go back and look at the Tampa Bay chiefs SB in 2020 he looked the same when the defense puts pressure on him he folds they were sending 4 at him and his OL didn’t block or anything the whole game his pick six was bad and so was his fumble and his other pick

Maybe most impressive is his quickness and agility for someone his size. I think he's projected late 2nd. I'll guess he will have an impressive combine so he's definitely a candidate that could sky rocket. He could become more consistent as a tackler and he's needs to lower his center of gravity, he tends to play high.

I saw him at the senior bowl getting blocked by that 5’11 kid, and I got a bad first impression. IDK. Turn him into an OT like Big Cat Williams.

Part of the problem last night is KC had no issues not trying to establish the run game. They didn't look to swing it to their backs on the outside in the flat, or run it at all. So the Eagles were able to tee off all night and just bullrush KC's OLine since they were not looking for any pass less than 10 yards.

It was bad coaching as much as it was bad play last night. They got thoroughly beat.

Jalen hurts outplayed mahomes in 2 superbowls that’s saying a lot about them individually and yes idk what Andy Reid was thinking not running the ball atp KC was hit in the mouth and was never the same the whole game

Idk man. It’s hard to imagine an Andy Reid team being that unprepared or Reid himself being that badly outcoached. It just felt like the Chiefs were severely outmatched. I laid 50 on the Eagles moneyline, which was a nice double up. I just had a feeling that this was a bad matchup for the Chiefs and it sure as hell was.

The Chiefs definitely could have run the ball more for sure. But given the outcome, I’m not sure that it would have made much of a difference. That Eagles front four were simply on a different level last night. The just flat out understood the assignment.

Mahomes was intimidated. Jalen Carter yelling in his face, Mahomes had no response other than to pretend to ignore, and throw bad passes.

Don't think it's a coincidence the Chiefs offense has slipped since Nagy is the OC too.

He stinks.

Why don't they play the SB on Saturday instead of Sunday? That way people wouldn't have to worry about going to work the next day, or kids going to school. On the East coast, it doesn't end to 10:30.

The Eagles showed a different way to win than the dominant mode of the NFL right now, which is to invest in passing offense, and players that can either rush the passer or cover WR's. The Eagles just dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Jalen Hurts plays like an old school QB, throwing for only 200-230 yards a game, and relying on a strong rushing attack (although he's not old school in that he runs the ball so much himself). I wonder if this will start a new trend.

In any case, you can't go wrong building strong lines on both sides. That was certainly the way the '85 Bears were built. Although they only won the SB when they also had a QB who could throw the ball.

What a beat down!
Was interested in the Eagles D and the Chefs O-line.

As an FYI, Cooper DeJean was the pick (#40) we traded for Sweat.

I think all his bad traits can be coached. Maybe I’m a little blinded by how obsessed I am with his physical freak-ness.

He’s a straight up bully.

O-line help is on the way......SD waived him on Sunday, Bears signed him on Monday. Nothing really sticks out about him; RAS score of 7.71, Speed grade elite, Size very poor (6'2" 303 lbs), Explosiveness dnq, Agility grade good

I'm not a Nagy supporter, but I love how when the Chiefs' offense does well, it is because Reid is a genius. When they struggle, it is because Nagy is stupid.

I noticed he also was the one that got beat on that deep throw Mahomes completed to that fast WR they have.

I think if we can replicate the Bears/Giants 2021 trade, that would make it significantly easier to trade for Garrett. If I remember correctly, the giants got a a 2021 5th and 2022 1st. If we can trade down and get a 2026 1st, we'd virtually be trading just one 1st. And if the Browns say we need to add a couple later picks to make up for trading back, i'd be completely fine with throwing in an extra 4th round pick or two. When trading for a HOF DE like Garrett, those later picks become virtually inconsequential. Obviously there would need to be some conditions met before pulling off a trade like that, specifically rebuilding the OL. But doing those three things, put us in a great position to win, I think.

Step 1: Spend 50m on the OL
Step 2: Trade back and add an extra 1st (giving us 2 in 2026)
Step 3: Trade 2025 1st and 2026 1st Garrett

How about it? Same with Mahomes- when the Chiefs are dominating, it's because he's an all time great, and when they get creamed, it's the fault of the O line or the play calling.
