GTFOH. When was the last time this team had two All Star starters? Almost 50 years ago. The depth and the HC are the weak links.

This game proved one thing: The Knicks aren't winning a title this season, let alone representing the East in the finals.

What is your point exactly? The team has made the finals a total of 4 times in anyone's lifetimes that currently breathes air. We are three months into this roster and you wanna talk about LOSING 25-30 years ago? STFU and GTFO

It didn't prove anything other than we couldn't win that one game. You can assume all you want to but, nothing is written in stone.

I hate the Celtics more than I do the Lakers, but even I can admit that they are superior to us in every way.

We agree the depth and a vile orc head coach are weak links. Being a championship starting 5 isn't a vacuum it's in direct comparison to the other rosters out there. Championship would mean getting to the finals, which requires us to get to the eastern conference finals. I just don't see it, and over paying for Nova JR Smith has left us at the end of the road with our options.

Not arguing that they aren't a better team but, there's a ton of games left. Anything is possible. Cleveland and OKC are also in a better position to win it all. Doesn't mean they will. You still have to play the games.

I didn't think we were going to win a title this year but, it isn't entirely out of the question. Look at last year's playoffs. Boston cruises through a bunch of injured teams to get their win. We only lost to the scrub Pacers because we were injured too. There's a reason you play the games.

My point is that your claim of "Acting like you expect nothing but excellence when you have never even witnessed it. " is complete bull. I watched the Knicks make 2 Finals as an adult. Your standards are 50 win team and eternal second round doormat. My perspective is witnessing minute by minute a title slip away in 2 Finals, and breaking my remote control in rage when we lost.

Robs is excited to win 50 games a year, be the 6th best team in the NBA, and lose in the 1st or 2nd round every year, while lauding Thibs as the best coach ever.

5 years ago in 2020 where did you think this team would be? Nobody thought we’d be in this position. Nobody can declare with any certainty what this team will do for 5 years. The team is good. Maybe we will catch lightning in a bottle one of these years. Enjoy the ride

A lot of these teams, raptors, nuggets, bucks etc who won a championship had plenty of playoff defeats surrounding the one year it all went right

I'm sure Thibs will be leading the parade down the canyon of heroes

So you wanna cry about being a top 5 team? You don't think it's possible we get hot at the right time and make a run? Then why bother watching? I believe our starting 5 can run with ANYONE in the league. The depth and the coaching may end up being our downfall but, throwing in the towel with 32 games left is ridiculous.

I'd count the durability of 2\5ths of the starting lineup as a 3rd weak link.

There's some arguments to be made about Hart not really being a good shooter as well not really flying in the modern NBA. Certainly not helpful beating Boston, that's for damn sure.

We were the 2 seed and up 2-0 and cruising to the conference finals last year until OG got injured resulting in losing to an inferior competition. And that was before we added an all star starter in towns(who himself did make the conference finals last year) and bridges who has been to the nba finals. So to act like we can’t even make a conference finals seems nonsensical. Maybe we ultimately won’t but surely it’s reasonably attainable

This is baked into who these players are. The coach certainly doesn't help. It's also baked into the other rosters, Celtics didn't have their 3rd best player (WhEn hEalThy!) and they won a chip.

Even KAT has had a health decline, he was an iron man.

Every team has to worry about health issues. You can continue pissing in your own oatmeal all you want. I am going to enjoy the GREAT team we have and hope for the best. We are as close as all of the top teams were a year or two ago when none of them won it all either. We are in good shape as a franchise but, around here you would never know it.

I'm not throwing in any towel, we can't do anything this year. Just tempering some of the absurd homerism. Yes maybe the Celtics and Cavs game gets hit by an asteroid.

The Celtics scare me in a 7 game series. Even if Tatum has a season ending injury they'd be tough to beat.

For the Knicks to be competitive KAT, OG, and Mitchell all need to be 100 percent healthy. I don't even know if we will even see all of these guys on the floor at the same time this season.

Yep so that’s something that could happen. A little luck is needed in that department for any good run by any team
