Wait is this really a thread about arguably one of the biggest trades in NBA history is getting more talk than Super Bowl media week? Not the actual game, but press conferences done a week before the actual game?

Haha really?

Embarrassing thread.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl this year.. I had some bets going and was so sure I was gon win that I didn’t even bother watching.. but then I put on the game and the chiefs were down 21 or 24 to 0 and then I turned it right back off and jumped back on nba 2k again.. would have won $300 if Mahomes scored 2 touchdowns and he couldn’t even do that, I couldn’t believe it lol had bets left and right and didn’t hit with nuthin

Yeah I'm not sure what the point of this thread was exactly when everyone knew what was going to happen as far as viewership.

Super Bowl 2025: 126M
NBA Finals 2024: 11.3M average (12.31M high)
World Series 2024: 15.1M average (18.15M high)
Stanley Cup 2024: 4.16M average (7.66M high)

No one is touching the NFL in the US. Maybe the NBA has Europe, MLB has parts of Asia/Latin America, and the NHL has Canada. No one comes close in the US.

Football has become an American cultural sport. Most of the other world likes soccer in the same way. Go to Europe or Latin America and soccer isn't just a popular sport it's part of their cultural identity. Football in America is at that point.

Super Bowl Sunday is just another holiday at this point. I bet half of the viewers don't even follow football. They watch it because it's a social activity (parties), for the commercials, or the halftime show.

Yeah it's not about football anymore it hasn't been in awhile . Been a national holiday for past 20 years unofficially.

The Super Bowl was a snooze-fest but like the posters above me mentioned, it's basically a National Holiday in this country at this point. People are going to tune in regardless, even if the game itself is horrible like it was this year.
