Next 4 games

Post#1 » by Crazy-Canuck » Sat Feb 8, 2025 5:13 pm

4 games before the all star break. Perfect stretch for Jimmy to get integrated. And they team is starting to get healthy. And more importantly, no Schroeder.

All 4 are very winnable. The hardest is probably the Rockets game due to schedule.

Bulls..are still the bulls, but lost lavine.
Bucks 1-4 in their last 5 and they just got kuzma
Mavs 1-4 their last 5 and still no AD.
Houston 0-5 in their last and haven't beaten the dubs in like a decade.

Im guessing the heat are the hold up. It wouldn't surprise me if Riley takes the pettiness up a level after the hit piece by team Jimmy in the Athletic.

Mavs Houston will be tough. Another 3 games in 4 nights scenario.

Ad has been a nightmare for us and will now be playing pf and we don’t really have anyone to guard Kyrie.

Houston 3 games in 4 nights so tough schedule spot. Probably end up 2-2. Anything above that would be great.

Good start by blowing out the bulls.

Giannis is out.
Ad is still out.

Rockets will be the toughest game on this trip.

AD out for maybe a month. So got to win against Bucks and Mavs now to climb up the chart.

Gafford got hurt in the game against the kings. No rim protection in Dallas should be another win.

Houston game is the only concern.

3rd in 4, but also the rockets haven't beaten the dubs in decades.

Houston will be light work.

*If we can play starters and Loon goes up against Sengun.

Will be happy with 3-1. Win the games we're suppose to win and 50-50 on the tough ones should be great.

Heard that the GM in Dallas is getting a security detail, and no I'm not joking. The fanbase is reeling right now... clearly Klay did this

The son in law to the owner who's out there talking crazy should think about getting one as well. Certainly not encouraging that type of fan behavior but considering his recent comments, a mavs or luka fan, might get the urge to count the man's teeth.

As he should. It still baffles me how they traded Luka.

Lively has an ankle stress fracture. Gafford now has a knee injury, AD has an abdominal issue / groin. They seriously might not make the play in. And then they have 1 more year until AD and Kyrie have decide if this is where they want to be. And Dallas doesn't own their own draft pick until 2031. Yikes.

Does Kyrie have a player option this summer? He should opt out in June and Dallas goes into next year with Kyrie on a full max (LOL) or no Kyrie at all (double LOL).

lol I dunno about *should* but his job probably ought to be in jeopardy. The fans’ threatening responses should be better left to actual garbage folks, like child abusers or healthcare CEOs :D

I mean I would hope that people aren't willing to go to such lengths for basketball and not what's actually afflicting them but I think Nico and the Adelson's should feel the heat.

If AD doesnt make it back this season - and there are rumblings that his injury might be that serious - then the Mavs have almost no ammo to convince Kyrie to stay, especially if there's any alternatives out there that can pay him and compete. That said, none jump to mind

Meanwhile he's got to keep the ship afloat without AD, Luka, Lively and now Gafford. Whos the 2nd best player on the court now - PJ Washington? Klay? Christie? And that's IF Kyrie can stay healthy, a guy who hasnt played 60 games in 5 years. Twitchy small guys tend to fall off quick as well

They've really crushed their own odds to dust just because Luka was a little pudgy

PJ didn't play last night due to an ankle injury ... Kyrie will break down trying to carry this load.

They really did crush their odds which is why everyone has a conspiracy theory. But the more they talk the more it seems like they're just inept. Like Ad as a concept is intriguing but you better be damn sure you're right and he better not have a lingering abdominal injury and you better have assurances that Kyrie and AD still want to play there. Because you really shortened your window when you have no avenues to improve.

Heard that Cuban called the new owner and begged them not to do it... this is how villain arcs begin. Will Mavs new owner be incompetent and be the new Chris Cohan/James Dolan? Maybe he can sprinkle in some racism and become the new Sterling?

Hard to remember a new owner coming in and burning the whole thing down so quickly aside from that Russian guy from the Nets, who immediately burned it down and then sold it inside of 7 years, when most ownership groups are for 20+
