Him attending the Lakers game to support Luka with his dad was kind of weird.

not really. everyone is on team Luka atm.

And what would be motivation for being quiet? To help Pelinka getting Luka as cheap as possible?

Because they didnt know Dallas also contacted the Lakers.

Pelinka said he and Nico talked few months ago and then somehow AD and Lukas names came up which started the framework.

Yes sure, they believed they contacted only them. And even if they would believe that, they had no interest keeping it quiet. The only 2 parties, who were interested for keeping secret were Lakers and Nico, who knew that he can't trade Luka, if word goes out.

Why would they blab about it?

Not like teams wont come out and ask for price of certain players.

Because trading Luka is a tectonic event for Nba.

Yesterday was so surreal, seeing Luka in the purple and gold. How did this happen? What demons did Rob shake hands with, how many children did he sacrifice for this to go through, what deal with the devil was made? So many questions…

I'm convinced that LeBron and/or Silver are behind this trade. Probably both.

The Luka trade, AD injured, and now fans are being thrown out for signs critical of the franchise.

I wonder how many Mavs fans are hoping for a Donald Sterling incident. Patrick Dumont worked on Wall-Street. He'd probably be an easy target with if you use the right chick.

I put a down payment on a goat ranch, but had to agree to name all the goats Lebron or Michael. I'm mad because I had lots of creative name ideas for goats :(

New owner gets booed mercilessly (and deservedly so) and then has the audacity to act dumbfounded and ask his colleague, "Are they booing me..?" after he sits down . Yes my friend, it is 100% you that they are booing.

Aren't you worried you'll get traded to another board soon? Everyone knows recently buying a mansion means you about to get traded.

so basically this has immedietly turned into the biggest fiasco in proffesional sports history, inside of a week...

Dumont and Nico took a franchise whose valuation has risen drastically in the last decade or two, in the #4 market in the league, which had a young and global superstar (and a very marketable one, at that), whose literaly one of the most popular athletes in the world and was just in the NBA finals to a team with no real future, a revolting fan base and made a laughing stock of itself in the process

AD will be out for a while cuz he's AD, Gafford was injured vs. the Kings on top of Lively whose already out for an extended period, PJ and even Dwight powell..they're gonna be losing every game for a month and fall out of the play-in

they're missing the playoffs for sure now, does that affect Kyrie's intentions of re-signing? hard to say, probably not if the Mavs are willing to give him what he wants

they took a team that made the finals and turned it into an 12th seed, in the span of a week. that's nuts.

Its the LA Lakers and the global reach!

Luka is gonna benefit so much from marketing and ad revenue.

Not to mention he is getting closer to the girl of his dreams, Jennifer Aniston :P

I can hate MY team- hate MY teams ownership- but I couldn’t adopt another team… maybe that’s just me- like I hated the redskins but no way in hell could I become a raven or a cowboys or KC fan… I was estranged with my team- but when the owner sold them team and they made a run, I came back to my team having never cheered for another team…. Yall do you - it’s an interesting type of fandom

No sports fandom has ever endured what Mavs fans just went through. The owners have created a situation of total hopelessness around the team.

You must be either young, or you don't know sports history. Teams have picked up and moved to another state, leaving their fans with nothing. Now tell me which one is worse!

Yeah that post about no teams endured more is stupid- a better player and a home grown talent in LeBron left while he was universally recognized as the best in the world- Cavs fans were devastated- same city saw their football team leave mid season like F yall - same city been getting kicked in the nuts for decades lol -

Dallas not even a basketball city- the cowboys run that town.

I can tell how many of yall are Luka only fans and ain’t been to Dallas… Mavs fans are hurting now but football season right around the corner.:: and that city gonna rotate back to their true love.

Luka already integrated into LA… and is moving on after learning a valuable lesson… these teams are not loyal -

I feel bad for the Mavs now but honestly they gonna get a ring with AD if he gets healthy and while I think Luka would have got them one too… over the next year a healthy AD gave them a better chance than a healthy Luka… over the next decade tho- Luka gonna be the face of sports in America….

I don't know how anyone could support this franchise.

For me, it's not only about the uniform. That line has been crossed.
