Lakers Waive Christian Wood

The Los Angeles Lakers have waived Christian Wood. The Lakers needed to waive Wood to create a roster spot to sign Alex Len.

Wood appeared in 50 games for the Lakers last season. Wood underwent knee surgery in September and hasn't played this season.

Wood picked up his $3 million player option for the Lakers last offseason.

I’m sure it must have something to do with recovering from the injury probably won’t be ready for the playoffs.

It’s his knee, they’d 100% keep him in healthy.

I feel he would have fit well with the new Lakers. He played his best basketball with Luka and the Mavs. This move was likely made because of his current injury. He may not be 100% until late in to the season or maybe even at the start of next season.
