Isn't that what ceilings are? What was Giannis' ceiling as a rookie? Shawn Kemp? Then he grew to 6'11 by his 2nd season and it went up a little.

Sure, but what even is the point then? I guess Sheads ceiling is Chris Paul if he learns to pass and shoot?

Generally when people are talking ceilings we try to stay realistic. Obviously we have no clue, and any player in theory could grow to be as good as any other player in the NBA.

Well why can't his ceiling be lower like Brunson?

All I'm saying that his comp is FVV and his ceiling is higher, close to but lower than Jalen Brunson.

He's a fan favorite because he really does resemble Kyle Lowry.

Masai got a gem in Shead.

Gonna be a solid bench player for years to come.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

Ceiling is Magic Johnson, floor is Chris Paul.

Shead has his own style. Don't understand the need to label player comparisons all the time.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I'm just saying that his ceiling is higher than FVV and people are saying that they think I mean likely career.

Shead is quicker and jumps higher, thus finishes at the rim way better. It's really the only early frustrating things about FVV.

I Like Shead and Mitchell. I wish there was a way we could move Quickly - because I like Walter, RJ and Grady too, but its just too many guards. I cant really see any other team taking that contract though.

Likely trade Mitchell.

Shead/Walter/Agbaji is all the POA defense you need. Just need a backup PF/C with ultra defense that can shoot 3's (Alex Condon). :D

I would like to trade for Jared Vanderbilt to boost the bench defense at forward beside Mogbo.

Agreed. I've been thinking that a perfect trade for the Raps would be to send IQ to NOP for Ingram. But that would leave the Pels in the tax next year with CJ's massive salary. If necessary, we could take that back as well and send Brown and Boucher to salary match. I'd expect some draft capital coming back, because we'd really be helping them out.

Steady Sheady!

The guy is getting more confident every game. I think the Raps commiting to him as the unquestionable backup PG will only help his confidence & his aggressiveness.

So happy for this guy. He is going to be a good one!

He's developing well. Misses a lot of passes that he should make though; not sure if he's not seeing them or just trying to be extra careful with the ball right now given all the turnovers this team had to begin the season.

In only half a season, it looks like he has the footwork prep and shot-mechanics fixed and his 3 looks legit at least above average. 8-)

Shead from 2 is 47.9%, while Fred has never posted over 45.5%.

At least the MLE. Who knows if he'll get the opportunity to start.

His defense was good but he forced it a bit too much thus the high turnovers. Should've had 2 more assists on 2 missed bunnies.

Eh, it would depend on the draft capital coming back as part of my elaborate proposed deal. But one thing is evident - by keeping and playing IQ, we are gonna win more games this season even with BI on the bench. The long-term effect of that we'll have to find out.

What a disaster that would’ve been.
