Yea...people haven't learned. He's been killing it since he's gotten here.

I think there's too much of a focus on Brunson being a "true pg" when I can't remember the last "true pg" to win a ring.

We won't be favorites to win it all this year and that's OK. It's year one and our core is fairly young. It doesn't mean we can't or won't but it seems to me that some of you cannot enjoy the journey unless it's super easy and even then you'd be miserable.

I feel sorry for you. Best season in decades and you can't even enjoy it. Seek help!

KAT being on the floor opens things up for Precious around the hoop.

OG and Precious look like they're close to the same size, but I don't know if OG takes advantage of the same looks that Precious does while playing with KAT. Precious really plays as complimentary as possible to the starters.

From the looks of it, Precious was 10 of 12 in the restricted area tonight.

Terrible terrible coaching job my goodness. What should’ve been a 20 pt blowout with our starters playing less than 35 mins turned into a grind out slug fest with our entire starting 5 playing over 42 mins and our injured ASG starting center playing 47 mins. My god man

Curious, when reading this comment, I’d like to ask do you watch other nba games throughout the season or just the knicks?

Many teams and many many games. I’ve had league pass for over a decade and I’m a fan of several players around the league so I watch plenty of games of several teams, not just NYK. So I’ve seen a whole lot of hawks games this seasons and I’ve seen how other teams and coaches exploit things our coach doesn’t have the mind to try

I’ll also watch matchups I think will be interesting.

How can anyone feel certain about this teams ceiling without seeing how this team looks with a healthy OG and Mitch. I mean they are 36-18 heading into the all star break with major potential to be even better. Seems foolish for anyone to be certain how good this team can be at full strength

One player won’t save an awful defense.

This is a combination of personnel and coaching.

Yet we still have a top 5 record in the league because we are top 4 team in ppg. This is an offense focused team, it’s not the same kind of team we are used to watching for the past several years.

It looks like an offense focused team because we have two ridiculously talented offensive players surrounded by players that can hit a shot or two

The reality is that we also have more than enough personnel to also be a fairly decent defensive team. Maybe not top 3 but certainly not a bottom half or bottom quarter team in very important metrics.

What we have is a coaching problem because we are leaning on defensive philosophy that was good 10 years ago but isn’t smart anymore

Thibs doesnt maximize the current personells defensive potential. But lets see when Mitch comes back.

So if that’s the case then you should know 2 things, one how hard it is to win back to backs, especially when your 2nd game is coming off a travel game the night before while your opponent hasn’t played in a few days, and secondly how many teams rest most of their starters on back to backs. Also, nba games since you watch as many as you claim, you notice that leads with 3 point shooting are no longer safe as teams blow big leads all the time. So with your knowledge you should be thankful for the win, and give the players and coaches credit for competing into OT, pulling out the W, despite all the other variables that could have gone into them losing which they most importantly didn’t

Let us see what we look like with Mitch and OG back bro.

Also, I'm not sold on OKC making it to the FInals. Luka beat them in 6 games last year and now he's with LeBron.

We'll need our team at full strength for both Boston and Cleveland. Might not be enough but we'll at least figure out what all we are missing. We are definitely in position to make an addition in the offseason or even a big time trade.Whether that's Zion, Durant, Giannis, or anyone else, we're in position to do something for sure.

Cleveland did not give up on their core after they got beat by the Knicks 2 years ago. They stayed patient with the Mitchell/Garland/Mobley/Allen core and now look where they are.

I'm already saved by the grace of Karl Anthony Towns and Jalen Marquis Brunson. -OKC, Boston and Cleveland are teams that have been together for years and solidified themselves, this is simply year one for us. After we remove the coach that doesn't call TOs to advance the ball, give his players a break and sign more depth we'll be right there with them. You're going to destroy your brand with these stances based on short term outlooks, I don't want to see it all come crashing down, like how Ye lost his shoe deal, dropped by his talent agency and lost Yeezy.com.

I am already saved, abandon Thibs before it's too late brother, like the Cavs did with JB Thibberstaff. The tides are turning and you're trying to fight the current.

Trae Young is probably the clutchest player in the game today.

Mike D’Antoni got fired for less and he at least got to a conference finals multiple times in his career.

The playoffs are a different animal. And you won’t be playing a bunch of soft teams like the Hawks or Hornets.

We need to make some more big moves this summer because the coach isn’t going anywhere.

With Mitch and OG back int he fold we wont rank 20th. Heck with just OG we were at like 14th or 15th earlier in the season.

Right and if you look at the 5 games OG has missed despite going 4-1 the defense is basically non-existent. We gave up 125.4 ppg in the last 5 games. As I say he is our anchor. And yes Mitch in the rotation in whatever capacity is another big bandaid hopefully on the way. Again we aren’t trying to be the 2000s pistons here this is a top nba offense that just needs to find a way to get a few more stops

Mitch will be a HUGE bandaid. The offensive rebounding, the rim protection his impact defensively will be equal to OG's imo. Both will will have a cascading / synergistic effect of the teams defensive profile....imo.

yea it felt over at that point. it was literally an 11-0 run to end regulation and start OT and we looked gassed.

with that context you have to appreciate them pulling out the win.

OKC got stronger this year. Jalen Williams took a leap, SGA is playing like a MVP, iHart is there now.

I'm not putting any hope into Mitch. He's likely gonna be just a backup big. We'll need to make some upgrades this summer.
