I never really cared about this rule. Game is over when game hits 0.

It's dumb to start a fight about something like this. Some clown did it against the Nuggets earlier this season but they just walked away happy to have won.

Re: Incident at end of Raptors and Cavs Game?
I figure some people were talking smack during the game and TT said scoreboard. And the person that has scoreboard that night is usually is the most effective smack talker.
It could be vet gamesmanship from TT also. With Niang gone, the Cavs don't have a big man instigator, which was the number one concern for Cavs fans over losing a shooting big. If TT becomes enemy #1, then any cheap shots will probably come his way and away from the starters. Which if true, in many ways is more important than his on the court play.
On a side note, Scottie Barnes seems to get extra amped up when facing Mobley. Maybe that permeated through the teams last night.

Yeah I know, I was just wondering why he did it. He must have had a good reason, he’s not a dumb rookie or something. He looked sort of pissed actually.
So he got stuffed on a dunk attempt with about 1 minute left in the game and apparently felt like it wasn't a clean block.
Because it was not a clean block. He got fouled pretty hard, it wasn't called and he was pissed.

people starting fights about this is absolutely hilarious. the game is 48 minutes.. if you decide to not defend for the last 20 seconds, thats on you. noone cares about this stupid agreement, thats disguised at sportsmansship. tristan doesnt have many chances to score the ball these days, maybe he has a clause in his contract that nets him a bonus for scoring?
im bout dat action boss

I dont care about unwritten rules but it is bit bush league trying to score when other 9 players stopped playing. Not worth fighting over it though.

For your first question, it's due to the Trump tariffs. There was some booing in the NHL from Canadian fans against American teams not directed because the teams, but basically saying we're booing you as a symbol to boo Trump.
As for Thompson doing it specifically as a Canadian, has me confused.

My question is, what is the team with the lead up in arms for if they are still going to win? Is it their defensive stats? Is it the honor and purity of the game where no team shall score if the other team is not being defended because they themselves decided this is how it should go?
I'd be like, look at this clown trying to pad his stats, but that's about it. Not gonna get mad cause I decided not to play D anymore.

If you don’t want Thompson dunking on you, simply stay within 20 and he’ll never see the floor.

Defense doesnt just give up out of nowhere, they get their cues from the offense after they start walking and dribbling out. You can argue they should still defend aggressively after offense gives up, but at that point it becomes a mutual understanding and pointless. At the end I agree it is a small issue and nothing to get worked up over.

I get its unwritten rule, but to me, one crazy thing they do specifically just in NBA games, they do this when game clock still have time for another possession. So they run out their 24 seconds, then give the ball to the other team who has to inbound and end the game... To me thats crazy and I do not get how is that sportsmanship. Just take a shot and let the game be over, everyone on the losing team wants it to be over, but you prolonging the game by stopping it and making them inbound. It is like you mock the losing team instead, similarly to how you take timeout when the game is over.

Re: Incident at end of Raptors and Cavs Game?
Thompson is a goof. He loves Toronto and is a local though.
True story, I knew Lebron was coming back to the Cavs (after Miami) as I met Thompson outside Sotto Sotto (Toronto resto) and asked him and he smirked and answered it saying he doesn't know and winked.
Wish betting was allowed back then.
Also it's probably the last few points he'll ever make so lol.

I want them to play to the end. I like garbage time minutes, some of these guys it's the only time you'll ever see them. These guys should be desperate to get some stats. Their grandkids are going to be looking at their BBRef one day.
Last I checked there's no column for "Sportsman Wuss."
It's funny how no one gets upset when Lebron cruises for four uncontested layups in the last few minutes, or Trae holds the ball to suck up intentional free throws with 16 seconds left and ahead by six.

Why would you even want TT on your team at this point? At this point he's just a vet sitting on the bench and the guy has proven to be a complete bonehead.
