Guy was a legit 2 way star in the NBL (Australia) back in 2017. Thats in no way relevant, but I'm old enough to remember his peak in a lower tier league. Still strikes me as funny every time I see him in the NBA. I think he's a great signing as a 'Break glass in case of Emergency' player.

Well I'm obviously being melodramatic, nothing at all to do with him personally - basketball-wise I think he's a pretty solid pickup but I do think that a contigent would do well to recognize he's a pretty limited scorer. Wouldn't surprise if he picks up a few nice minutes here and there. Still for unrelated reasons he can't control he's in my cross hairs as the fall guy if they don't win, just can't mess with karma of course.

He dropped 18 points (5/7 from 3) and was out there during OT in the last NBA game he played, a few weeks ago.

And it's not like he's going to be putting in big minutes. There are plenty of guys in the league that are contributing at age 34 and above. I don't really get the way people put out this signal "he's cooked" so casually.

Chicago has a fairly young team and a group of newer players that they need to develop. Craig is about as good of a fit of a vet 3/D multi-positional player as the Celtics could hope for. Now Joe just needs to get him integrated into the team so that he can step in and get our starters a few minutes of extra rest before the playoffs.

He's added some style to the bench so far, if nothing else.

We might not see him play before the ASB. Fully heal what's ailing him. Get some practices and film sessions in during the break.

Hmm he hasn't played since December actually, and really has barely played this year so far.

He will prob be ok though.

This guy can play!! He moves to the right place on defense and offense. Impressive for how recently he arrived.

He's more of a natural player.
Doesn't know all our plays, but just knows where to be.

This is a great signing, and I felt like the end of bench guys from the Bulls were on our radar all year  I thought it was going to be THT, but am glad it was Craig. He's exactly the type of player this team needed, and I think people will be surprised at how many minutes he gets. This team has been praying for another wing shooter, and have given hundreds of minutes to the deep bench guys to develop it. Craig now gives up that.

As he mentioned in his interview he's played on a lot of solid teams, and was able to provide bench minutes for Jokic's Nuggets and the Suns in the playoffs. He's a professional, and you know what he's going to give you every time he steps on the court, something Joe will appreciate

I also like that he's a guy that can play solid defense. He's a legit two way player, even if limited. It's why he's always on good teams, he's a solid replacement level wing who can do a lot of the dirty work if need be.

I'm not expecting much, but I do think he helps the team, and there will be some games in the playoffs where we are happy to have him on the bench.

It was nice that he got in there and hit those two shots,he even mentioned hitting that first one was important. His minutes in the playoffs may be sporadic, but he will have a role.

Wrong again.

Joe trusts vets. Craig is a vet. Glad he delivered in his first outing. Team doesn't need to run plays for him. Pretty cool we got someone new who can be thrown out there and not get lost on both ends.

Fits like a glove. Fills a need. Only 1 game and I'm pretty much sold on resigning him this summer to a vet min contract.

He's 34, but looks like he's still got some gas left in the tank. Give him a 1 year deal..

Think it'll be a pretty quiet offseason for us. Only FA are Craig, Kornet and Al. Resign all 3 to cheap, team friendly contracts and call it a day :)

Agreed and I'll add two more observations.

1) Doesn't come off as a player who will make mistakes

2) If he proves he still has some gas, he's a guaranteed 1 yr deal type of player going forward. Knocking down 3's for a team who likes to shoot 3's that could be good for the end of the bench.

If any big contracts are moved and roster spots needs to be filled a 1 yr 3mil deal could be a steal

Yeah he didn't play that many minutes last night. I'm sure he'll be active for tonight's game.

He's an elite bench celebrator too. He's missing the playoff moments for us, but I see Malik Fitts potential in him if we make a deep run again.

Hauser insurance
If we need to cut costs, and a big contract isn't moved, maybe Hauser is the one to be traded (I am not advocating it, I like Hauser)
He is a solid defender and about 40% 3pt shooter
Good enough

Dude is going to be 35 next year, I think he's a this year run only kind of guy. I mean, if he's here next year and does great then super, but what are they going to do, ship out Sam Hauser to rely on a 35-36 year old Torrey Craig?
