Yes. He did. Thankfully we have the talent to overcome his mistakes. Hopefully we can do it when it matters most but, odds are that will take a couple of miracles. The Hawks are not the Celtics/Cavs/Thunder etc. Both can be true. Both are true. His coaching decisions almost cost us that game.

I love this comment, so it’s thibs fault that KAT threw a soft ass pass or did’t box out on the missed free throw. Yes should they have called a timeout, yea..but an nba all star should throw a better inbound pass in that situation. You thibs haters never want to place blame on the player and take the easy way out by blaming the person who’s not on the floor..

He shouldn't have been making that pass at all. It almost cost us the game. That's on the coach. You Thibs lawyers keep spinning facts to confuse the jury. You admit he made a mistake that resulted in sending the game to over time where we almost lost. Stop there and face the truth bro.

The pass by KAT was bad, Mikal being light and easy to move out the way also played a role why Daniels got around him so fast. KAT not boxing out also was bad. Nothing to do with coaching
But the worst play was the stupid foul by Hart. That play actually cost us 2 points. Fouling Trae there was just stupid

there also comes a point where players have to execute and not do painfully stupid things on the basketball court like when Shamet just threw the ball away at the end of the 3rd quarter which gave them the last shot(which they made) when we should have had the last shot. All these blunders over the course of a game add up. A coach is going to make a mistake here or there especially with the benefit of hindsight but the players also need to cut back on unforced errors and focus

As i said should a timeout have been called yes, but to not expect the starting all star to make a simple in bound pass is ridiculous. Thibs admitted he should have called a timeout, however that still doesn’t take away the fact that KAT made a horrible pass..99.9% they inbound, player gets fouled game over you don’t even look at the coach, BUT because the PLAYER messed up, now it looks bad the coach didn’t call a timeout. Simple if KAT executed the simplest thing in the nba, you aren’t having the discussion

I agree that players should execute better. What are they executing? The HC game plan. We have struggled with the inbound pass for 5 seasons now. Maybe he needs to coach up better plays? It works both ways. Mentioning something that happened in the third qtr? This happened at the end of the game!!His decision led to a mistake that almost cost is the game. Period. The player is second on that list. It was an egregious mistake on Thibs and it was followed by a bad play that NEVER should have happened.

That was an ugly win, but every team has ugly wins and bad losses we just don't follow those other teams every single night.

On the other hand with Trae being hot if he didn’t foul him maybe we are discussing a 1 point loss in regulation, which leads to the next stupid thing, why with the game tied do they go for a Brunson fadeaway 3 pointer? Was it drawn up that way? We inbounded the ball to him in midrange and he ran out to the 3 point line. Why? Drive. Maybe you get a foul. Maybe you have time to dish it. You don’t need a 3
